Belinda M Gordon was born and raised in Pennsylvania and currently lives in the Pocono Mountains with her wonderfully supportive husband, her thoughtful easy-going son, and two delightful dogs.

She is of Irish heritage, which is how she became interested in Celtic Mythology. She used the Celtic Mythology, specifically of Ireland, as the starting point of her Romance/Fantasy series, The King's Jewel.

Belinda also enjoys photography, fashion, music, dancing and a good mystery. You will find these influences throughout her writing.

With The King's Jewel series finished, I've started a new series. No name for it yet, but I can tell you that many familiar characters will be in there. It's a mystery series that follows Sloan and Max as they make a life in Findale without Tressa and Alexander. So, you can look forward to hi-jinks from both dogs and fae as they solve murders and navigate danger in the human world.

Sahar,

I’m so happy that you enjoyed my books. Thank you for posting such an interesting question.

I had been reading a lot of urban fantasy and paranormal romance when I got the idea to write Tressa’s Treasures- books from authors like Patricia Briggs, Karen Marie Moning, Charlaine Harris, Stephenie Meyer and Jim Butcher. All of these wonderful stories influenced me, both with what I wanted to include in my story and what I wanted to leave out.

For example, I wanted to develop a love story between a supernatural being and a human- but with the non-human as the woman. I didn’t want this to be about teenagers; I preferred an older couple who would have an ongoing and enduring love. Jamie and Claire from Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series are a shining example of this type of story.

But the most important and hardest decision came down to what kind of being would this woman be. I knew at once that I didn’t want to write about vampires or werewolves, even if I did like to read about them. After a bit of research and contemplation, I decided to let my Irish heritage be my guide, and settled on the Tuatha de Danann sometimes called the Sidhe (shée) and built my story around nuggets of Celtic mythology.

From there bits and pieces melded together into a story as I figured out who these two people were and what adventure they would have together.

Celtic mythology tells us that the Tuatha de Danann had four treasures, a sword, a spear, a cauldron and a stone. I featured one in my first book, Tressa’s Treasures, but I couldn’t let it go with just one and so I created a series, one book for each of the treasures and the continuing Tressa and Alexander’s story, this couple who had found their Soul Mate, their Anam Cara.

I have started writing a new series set in the same world, with some familiar characters from the King’s Jewel series. I haven’t chosen a name for the new series or the first book, but I can tell you that the main character is Sloan, whom we first meet in Xander’s Folly.

All my best, Belinda

Having It All- A New Novel in a New Genre!

I know, it’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I wanted to let everyone know about a new book I released—and it’s not what you might have expected! First, let me give you a bit of background information. You may or may not be aware that my first career was working on Wall Street. I spent the ‘80s and ‘90s working on the Over-The-Counter market. Better know today as the NASDAQ market. I left Wall

“Do you see the labyrinth out there?" She waved a graceful hand toward the garden. "Life is like that labyrinth, full of pathways that seem like the right way, but end up being detours. We go one way and then another until we find our true path.”
Belinda M. Gordon, Tressa's Treasures

“Mattie, I'm sorry to drag you away." "Don't worry about it. It's late. My mother always said nothing good happens after midnight." I barked out a surprised laugh. "Your mother, clearly, is not a Sidhe.”
Belinda M. Gordon, Tressa's Treasures

“Perhaps it was without logic, for some would say I barely knew him, but I knew I loved him. And I trusted him—with my life, and with his. The time for doubt had passed.”
