This and all of Gemmell’s work have inspired and influenced much of what I hope to achieve in “The Daygo Stream” series. Gemmell showed me true heroic drama, while Robert Jordan created a world and a story on a scale I’ve never seen before or since.

Two other huge influencers come from the world of literary fiction. Wally Lamb’s “This Much I Know is True” and all of Phillip Roth’s work. Yes, I'm working hard on getting the second one finished. I've been working full time and there's been a lot of experimentation and learning that needed to be done that have delayed the final release date. It should be out in amazon June of next year, Sept at the very latest.
I'm 90% through the second draft at the moment! Sorry for the delayed response (Seem to have had notifications turned off on goodreads for some reason!) and delayed sequel! The support's appreciated!

He gloried in the privilege to be there, to witness it, to be aware of it all unfolding before his eyes, within his body, pounding in his ears, whishing through his nose and mouth; he could smell the forest sharply, the scene changing, moving, assaulting his nostrils. He imagined himself high up above, looking down at all the frantic activity happening below in the forest and trees, up and down the mountain. He wondered if such”
