Do you see far.....or are you far sighted?

What do you the next 35 yrs. Can your mind take you that far, or do you get caught up in a web of darkness.....

You need the skin of an armadillo.

When you finally have the guts to call yourself a writer, realize you will have fans, some that love you and some that don't like your voice at all. The other thing is, negativity also lends to positively, in the end. Create drama, whether it be in what you say, or how your readers react to you. Did you think they all would love your work, your voice? Does the truth frighten them, intimidate them, or is it that sneaky God element that runs through the tale of Alice, her savior to the end. Without God, Alice's life would have been unbearable....she threw her burdens on him...and he took them on his own shoulders, just like how he carried the cross for us. Love Jesus.....praise God.

To to be forgiven.

Love from Brenda

Right out of a Steven King thriller.

First I'll just say, I am on the last few days, of the final edit of the Penny Vagina Murders. It's been seven years living in the mind of a serial killer. What a place to be! Unchain my heart, and let me go on. I have another story on deck...Beaten at the Wire. The story of my race track life, my boyfriend a champion rider, living the high life.....I'll take you to the backstretch in the mornings, to the starting gate, and the excitement of the thunder of the hooves to the finish line.
Let me not speak of the world we live in at this time.....I just want to get lost in my mind.

Love from Brenda. God bless you and keep you in his embrace.

I'm a lot like....Ernest Hemingway

Hemingway was my dear friend, Richard Wagamese favorite writer. I have to say...I love him too, and Richard of course. Now they are in that library in heaven, there is a seat waiting there for me..... close to them.

While reading a Movable Feast, I realized Ernest and I have a lot in common. Firstly, we are both writers. Next, we both loved the racetrack and handicapping horses. As a matter of fact, Ernest would spend countless hours, handicapping them attending the races, while making a few dollars betting, when he could have been using that valuable time, writing more books. What a man!

I want to channel him actually, if he isn't busy with angel duties.

Richard also had a love of alcohol, like Hemingway and I. Now, I'm not saying I go to the restaurants of Paris every night, indulging in the best of what the house had to offer, but I say....I sure do love a good bottle of wine.

Both Hemingway and Fitzgerald were boozers. I'll stop there. Don't want to beat up the dead, although I would love to share a glass with them, right now.

I am writing Beaten at The racetrack story. I was married to a champion jockey that lost at the cocaine.

There is a chapter in the book, my last chapter with my jockey, where I beat him with his own horsewhip.
I guess you will have to read the book....

Hemingway was a boozer and a gambler...and a writer. Like I said....him and I are a lot alike.

Good Evening!

As of late....I have been lost for words. But you say, "Where have you been Brenda Rae Schoolcraft?
Well, I have been lost in my mind. I have been on a roadtrip with my granddaughter, Harmony Raine. The light of my life, and one of the crystals of the world, who will lead us into the new system, after Armageddon. You are like, are you going on one of those spiritual tangents again?
I can't stay far from the page, but in the last few months, we all have been living an out of worldly, kind of existence. Where do I start?

Working hard on the final edit of the Penny Vagina Murders. It has consumed me for the last seven years, so when I say it is soon coming, realize it is like, how God is from time to time eternal, so don't be anxious, it is coming...…..very soon to Amazon.

Goodnight to all my readers, and all the writers out there. We need each other.

Sincerely, Brenda. xoxoxoxo

The Ghost Circus

The ferris wheel moves slowly around, the swings sway in the breeze, the sounds of the carnival, a few faces but just clown faces,
A stir of dust runs through the fairgrounds, replacing the patter of little feet, and painted faces.
The bells ring in wait for a human to throw the ball and land a stuff toy to give to his child, or his lover. But no one behind the counter, the bears and elephants seem frightened, alone and unloved.
The eerie stillness
Of the circus, with no children's laughter,
chills me to my bones.

Take me away.

Take me away to an island in the sun,
Where the breeze smells of hibiscus and the salty seas.
A place of freedom and love, the sunshine kissing my face,
A succulent Julie mango, it's nectar seducing my tastebuds,
Like heaven on earth.
A purple pink lavender sky
As the sun sets beyond the horizon.
A lover awaits me, like the sweet juice of the sugar cane, exciting everything in me.
Dripping down my lips, onto my sun kissed skin, glistening under a Caribbean night sky,
sounds of drums, beating with my heart.

This island paradise I seek to lose myself in, the lushness of beauty and the ocean breezes kiss me into a lullaby sleep, as I dream of you my love.

The end of the we know it.

Everything just changed like the landscape of a desert to the deep blue sea. I never dreamed I would live to witness this scourge...this killing plague. Yes it's written in the last book....pestilence and disease like never before....the locusts came in a wave of destruction before the plague arrived...sounds like something straight out of the good book.....

What we thought was secure all of a sudden feels like the ground under you after a nine point earthquake. A time of such uncertainty....all we have is right now...the present.

Count your blessings if the plague didn't stop on your doorstep. Thousands dying as I pen this message.

The Twilight zone

An eerie stillness on the streets, the invisible shields around your human brothers. A smile replaces words, only the eyes speak, a love of your fellow man, you know not their names only that they are equally vulnerable and in the same ship that could likely sink. A tragic scene is unfolding, as they carry out our loved ones, mostly grandmother's. Sweet loving grandmother's can never be replaced. A mother's love that deepens three fold.

My grandmother Irene was a tyrant and abused my dear mother Alice terribly. Blanche my father's mother walked away, abandoning him and his twin brother at the tender age of eighteen months, in the backyard just in their diapers and t-shirts. Any wonder he became a sociopathic murderer. I'm not defending his actions just trying to dig deep into his psyche. Really, I loved writing his death in the book of Alice. A healing like no other.

Just wanted to share a few thoughts in this time of .....the Twilight zone.
