It goes without saying that my iPhone is a major part of my day as it’s constantly in my hand, pinging, ringing and responding to the messages and comments on my social media profiles from my 2.1million followers. So when my battery started to drain within an hour I started to became alarmed that maybe I’d been overusing my phone or that leaving it on charge overnight when I go to bed may have damaged its ability to hold battery anymore but it seems I’m not the only one experiencing problems.
Apple iPhone Battery Drain Problem
My phone started out draining from fully charged to empty in about 3-4hrs with moderate use. I had no problem taking phonecalls or using my social media before whilst out of the house but over a few months it started draining within an hour and so I switched my phone to constant battery saving mode even if it had 100% charge because I knew it wouldn’t remain for long. My phone battery now dies in low power mode with just 4mins of shooting video or several minutes on a call when unplugged and at 100% charge but it seems the phone shuts down unexpectedly anywhere between 50% battery and below without being empty. It’s like driving a car with a full tank of petrol out of the station and then breaking down without fuel when you reach the end of the road – I know that it doesn’t add up and it’s not in sync with my usage.
My phone is an iPhone6 which I’ve had since my upgrade for about a year and a few months and I get my handset changed every 2yrs. Since doing the latest software update to iOS 10.2 a few weeks ago my battery life has become a zillion times worse going from bad to horrendous and I carry a phone charger with me everywhere I go along with a car charger and external battery. I looked into getting a battery phone case so that I have a double charge when out and about but I’ve seen so many complaints online about the high price tag, clumsy large size of the uncustomisable (I think that’s a word?) battery cases, inability to plug in headphones and general moaning about turning a sleek expensive phone into a chunky brick when it should do its job properly in the first place.
Ways To Reduce Your Battery Usage
-Wait two days after installing an update before altering any settings
-Use Airplane Mode in bad service areas
-Switch off wifi when not connected
-Close all background apps
-Switch off Location Services in settings > privacy
-Restart the phone
I’ve Resorted To Purchasing An External Battery Power Bank In Order To Use My iPhone When It’s Not Plugged Into A Mains Charger
So after visiting my local Apple store after an eye check appointment in Milton Keynes last week during the December shopper madness I spent 20mins spontaneously queuing to speak to a member of staff located oddly under a glass staircase with some queuing ropes only to be told that they were fully booked and I’d have to return in around five hours time if they had a cancellation or go home and contact online support. After hearing everybody ahead of me in the queue complain about poor battery life and looking at the twenty-or-so customers still waiting behind me I dropped my jaw in dismay. It’s clearly an issue for Apple and they should have better means of dealing with this battery epidemic considering it’s one of the most expensive phones on the market.
Out of desperation for my dwindling battery life which had already reduced from 100% to 30% on low power mode since I left the safety of my car charger to come and queue with a load of moody shoppers I asked if I could instead buy a replacement battery from the store. If I didn’t fit into the magical iPhone6 automatic battery replacement bracket I’d heard about and there was a wait as long as my Christmas list to see a technician then surely purchasing a new battery there and then from my ever shrinking festive pockets would put an end to this battery torment that that been shackling me to plug sockets for far too long, but alas I was told they don’t sell batteries and I’d need a diagnostics check online so I hurried back to my car like a hermit to preserve my final 28% and falling.
Once home I visited Apple Support Online after putting my two children to bed and waited eagerly to speak to an advisor via the iPhone > battery, power & charging > unexpected shutdown or restart option on their website. It then prompted me with a message that an iOS restore is likely to resolve the issue which sounded slightly off-topic but nonetheless I used the chat option to give my specific details to an Apple employee to ensure that it was relevant to me and make sure that I was doing everything properly because I’m pretty rubbish with technology. I told the support advisor Kath that my phone drains rapidly even without use, that I live tied to my charger in low power mode and have an iWatch that I can’t ever use because my phone battery can’t sustain bluetooth. She could see via an online diagnostics that my phone had been cutting out, draining too fast and sending fault reports to Apple and then suggested I backup and restore my iPhone as new to test if the battery is back to normal when wiped as this will determine if it’s a software issue if it works or a hardware issue if it continues to shutdown for no reason. It’s quite likely that the battery will fix itself and then I can restore my content and carry on with my life as normal minus the mains – hoorah!
Kath From Applecare Emailed Me A Step By Step Guide To Restore My iPhone
So I plugged my iPhone into my MacBook, opened up iTunes and began backing up my 64gb phone to my laptop. Seeing as I hadn’t performed a backup for some time I knew it would take an hour or so so she very kindly emailed me over a full step-by-step guide to perform the recovery and battery check once my backup was complete. After updating my iTunes to the most recent version I followed these steps as advised:
How To Backup & Restore An iPhone To Test The Battery
(As Instructed By Kath @ AppleCare)
Be sure to update your backup so that we can avoid unnecessary data losses. Here’s how to create or update your phone’s backup.
— > https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203977 — Backup
After completing the backup.
Put device into recovery mode by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 45 seconds, don’t stop when you see the Apple logo, keep holding until you see the iTunes screen on your iPhone. And then one’s the pop-up appears on your computer, choose Restore.
You can also check this article out for steps to follow.
— > https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201252 — Restore using iTunes
After doing that step, when you are on the Apps and Data page, be sure to set up your iPhone as new.
We will want to restore the iPhone as new first so that the software can come in the phone as fresh and for us to confirm if the issue is phone’s hardware or software. Observe for 24-48hours and check if the phone will still shutdown on its own automatically even if it set up as new. Though if the phone will still shutdown on its own even when set up as new, it means that it could already be a hardware issue and we’ll have to get the phone checked by one of our hardware specialists.
If the problem is fixed [after the restore and setting it up as new], then great! You will now be able to restore the backup you have to restore your contents. If it happens again, I’m afraid that means that the issue is most likely a hardware issue. [Offer service options.
Then after that, follow this step to restore your phone’s data and information.
— > https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204184 — > Restore your backup files and information :))
It was all going pretty well, my backup took about an hour and a half whilst I wrapped some Christmas presents and I actually had the free space that I needed on my laptop for once. I put my phone into recovery mode and then pushed restore and watched my phone go from crazily cluttered to totally empty as the screen welcomed me to my new iPhone. I set it up as new as advised so that I could test the battery life for shutdowns from fully charged and within a few minutes of video it cut out so I could rule out a software problem. Returning to my iTunes I attempted to restore my backup from a couple of hours ago only to find that there was a little padlock icon next to the backup that I required. I clicked on it and was prompted for a password which I presumed would be my apple ID/password but neither worked, so I tried my laptop admin, email, phone unlock code and even pin number and nothing worked. I tried every password I’d ever had or could ever remember and came up with absolutely nothing – my backup was encrypted with no key!
I’ve had an iPhone for years now and have done dozens of backups in that time, all to my MacBook without any problems and I’ve never lost my content or been locked out. In order to enable the encryption you have to click a custom option and create and confirm a new password, it can’t happen accidentally and I 100% didn’t do any of it, I just hit the standard settings as usual to backup to my computer. I’d also purchased additional cloud storage in order to backup my phone via wifi but now I have nothing anywhere. My cloud is somehow completely empty, my phone is empty and my battery is still shockingly bad despite restoring my iPhone as advised. The thought of losing all of my contacts, pictures, apps and videos of my children as babies absolutely broke my heart with the worst part of of being the precious photos of my Nan who passed away at easter. All of those memories, moments and connections lost forever and I cried like an absolute baby.
I Was Gutted To Lose Years Of Priceless Photos, Videos & Contacts Because Of My Encrypted Backup
It goes to show how much we rely on our phones, how final text messages, special voicemails and precious photos are so entirely priceless and important. And when you think that you’re safe because you’ve got it all backed up you’re still in danger of losing it all. I had it on the cloud my laptop and phone and still lost it all. It made me feel sick, robbed and incredibly frustrated that it had happened when all I wanted was to purchase a new battery for my stupidly expensive phone that should have worked properly in the first place. I spent the following day feeling sorry for myself, my heart heavy with loss as I tried to download the majority of apps that I could remember having. I had to reset pretty much all of my passwords because I couldn’t remember them as I was logged out of everything and nothing was stored to memory anymore. I reset my fingerprints, my privacy settings, my wallpaper, alarms, everything you forget about when starting over.
I also posted a status on my Facebook saying that my phone had totalled and I’d lost every contact but my number was the same so if anybody wanted to get hold of me or had been waiting to hear from me they should drop me a text first so that I can save their number and respond. To be fair I got a few funny texts taking the p*ss which made me laugh but it’s hard to explain the hole it leaves when you lose everything you care about. In the grand scheme of things nobody had got hurt, I still had my family and retrieved access to my accounts but it was just the bare bones as the meat had been stripped away.
My Family Photos Are Everything To Me
The following day I had a followup call from Apple and despite the cheery foreign man on the other end of the phone wishing me a Merry Christmas I found it hard to chat along to the scripted call checking for my feedback on service. I explained how the restore and setting up my phone as new had caused my iTunes to lock me out of my backup and how Kath couldn’t help me and my battery was still draining and unusable when not attached to a charger but I’d booked in to my local genius bar for the 29th of December so would hold out for another week until finally they might fix my battery. The man introduced himself as Pablo and told me that he was a single father with two children and understood how much baby photos and memories mean, he then asked if he could perform a remote assist of my laptop once more to see if there was anything he could do. I thought he was very sweet for reassuring me but had already checked online forums and comments saying that there’s no hope for retrieving encrypted backups and even Apple don’t have access.
But I know he was just doing his job and trying every troubleshooting option so I halfheartedly gave him the benefit of the doubt so that he could finish his call and I could carry on with my day. Literally within five minutes he’d unlocked my encrypted password – that was electronically set to around 300 characters and definitely not my doing – and had me jumping around my lounge like a sea lion clapping my hands and squealing with joy. I saw the thousands of people online who were in the exact same position after losing their backup and knew that what he’d just done for me will be so incredibly helpful to others so I asked him to walk me through it again step by step so that I could write it all down and share the instructions here.
Pablo From AppleCare Retrieved My Encrypted iTunes Backup From My Mac
How To Retrieve An Encrypted iTunes Backup Password On A Mac
(As Instructed By Pablo @ AppleCare)
Open up finder > applications > utilities > keychain access > into the search bar type ‘backup’ > double click the locked backup file and enter the laptops admin password > click ‘see password’ to display the password > copy and paste into iTunes to retrieve the encrypted backup!
Seeing as my phone will take a couple of hours to restore my backup I’m going to leave it empty until my appointment at the genius bar on the 29th December so if they need to run any tests or remove everything again then it can be pretty immediate rather than taking all day. Best case scenario it would be nice for them to switch my undamaged handset for another that works, worst case scenario every guarantee, warranty, JCB and KGB will have expired and I’ll have to purchase a hardware repair/battery replacement for my contract phone. I think I’m several months away from my upgrade anyway when I’ll be getting the iPhone7 so I don’t want to spend money on making my phone work at Christmas when it’s a known fault affecting thousands of people. But equally I can’t live shackled to a mains charger anymore because my phone is as useful as a chocolate teapot right now and smoke signals on the mountains would be more effective.
So I guess it all rests on what the geniuses say on the 29th! In the meantime I’ll be enjoying Christmas with my family, using my phone a whole lot less and living in the moment for once without technology. If you’re experiencing battery problems I suggest you do the same. I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and I’ll see you on the flip side and update you with my progress. A quick search regarding Apple’s battery replacement policy is enough to put Scrooge in a bad mood! Ho ho ho No no no Apple!
We’ll test your iPhone to see if it has a battery issue or a different power issue. Your repair fees depend on the diagnosis and if the issue is covered under warranty, AppleCare+, or consumer law. Your coverage begins on the original purchase date of your iPhone.
Our warranty covers a defective battery, but it doesn’t cover wear from normal use.
If you’re covered under warranty, AppleCare+ or consumer law, we’ll replace your battery at no charge if it retains less than 80 percent of its original capacity.
If your iPhone needs battery replacement and it’s not covered, the service fee is from £76.44.
If your iPhone has another power issue, we’ll give you the repair price after we determine the cause.
Remember to check back soon to see how I’m getting on with fixing my battery. Please feel free to leave your comments, thoughts and feedback in the box below and share you battery woes with us all! Are you happy with the service you receive from Apple?
December 10, 2016
2017 where on earth have you been hiding? It seems the new year has crept up all of a sudden and that’s another 365 days gone in the blink of an eye. This year is going to be a pretty monumental milestone for me because I’ll be turning 30 in October 2017 and I’m either due a mid-life crisis or seriously failing at life, I can’t quite decide. I’ve been a single parent for four years now as the days tick past between working out, raising my two children – Millisent 9yrs and Gabriele 4yrs – writing, modelling and shooting TV shows. But this is the year I will officially become an adult, it’s time to kiss goodbye to my tender twenties and start that uphill walk towards forty. FML!
My Fitness Journey To Pure Elite 2017I always thought I’d have life sussed by thirty, married with kids, a token puppy and somewhat on my way to becoming a millionaire or at the very least contemplating early retirement from my third holiday home. Alas sometimes life doesn’t quite work out like they tell you in the movies, sometimes no matter how hard you try you don’t break ground or make the progress you deserve. Yes there have been spanners in the works – total understatement – but every mistake, obstacle and issue along the way has been a valuable lesson and life experience that has made me a far stronger, more patient and capable person which I am truly grateful of. I guess what I’m trying to say is when faced with opportunity in life we should seize the day and hold onto it with both hands.
Pure Elite is the fastest growing bikini, fitness and muscle model competition in Europe; a cross between beauty pageantry and traditional bodybuilding, the contest showcases athletes and models from across the world as they compete for prizes and the coveted titles and trophies for each category from bikini to tattoo, mum’s who lift and bodybuilding. It’s open to the public and any age and body type can enter as no experience is necessary so with it being my first time competing I hope that blogging my progress and journey will push me to transform my body and smash my fitness goals. At present I’m a size UK8 vegan, slim but not skinny and I love cardio, typically running between 5-20km 4-5 times a week at the gym as a warm up before my endurance workout of 3×15 pull-ups and 3×15 leg presses. My aim is to feel fit and have bags of energy because I lead a hectic lifestyle, am always on the go and like to play with my children, carry shopping bags and maintain my flexibility. I wouldn’t say I’m particularly muscular but I have firm thighs and my glutes are pretty peachy in leggings although I’ve got a bit of a bingo wing situation when I wave as my triceps have always hated me.
Becoming A Young Mother Taught Me Self DisciplineBeing vegan I’m on iron tablets to combat anaemia and as I never liked dairy as a child due to turning vegetarian at the age of five I’ve suffered from weak bones for which I took medication but stopped in my teens. My elbows have always felt weak but my knees are pretty resilient, yet it’s never been my aim to lift weights or be butch or muscular, so for the show I need to flip my training on its head completely and push my body to the limits to become as strong and defined as possible. Food wise I eat a lot of calories as each cardio session can burn anywhere between 200-800kcal a time before I consider weights or the rest of the day that I spend running around so I typically eat between 2,000-3,000kcal a day as it is. I love food and although I eat my seven-a-day in fruit, vegetables, rice, nuts and seeds my portion sizes are ridiculously big and I’m always eating or thinking about eating. My meals satisfy me and I’d never starve myself because I’d be the moodiest person on the planet without food, I can’t focus or function properly when I’m hungry, I just enjoy taste, texture and experimenting with flavours so much that my appetite has no off-switch and even after my evening meal I can keep on snacking all night until I go to bed without feeling sick or bloated.
And speaking of sleep, or rather my lack of, I think the dark circles under my eyes sum up my sleep pattern nicely – I don’t have one! I rush around like a headless chicken all day whilst the children are at school and I’m working out, working, travelling or running errands. Yet with over 2million social media followers my phone rings constantly, my inboxes are flooded day and night, my email enquiries could easily reach China if printed off and laid end to end as there’s just one of me and no help or management so I find myself desperately playing catch up each evening when the children go to bed at 7pm yet I rarely break even by midnight before the next days enquiries and comments come through. As such I find it difficult to switch off, I’m an incredibly light sleeper with a small bladder so I’m up several times a night and that’s without checking on the children or tending to snotty noses, poorly tummies, school friends sleeping over or my elderly dog barking at 3am for yet another garden break or dog bone – I guess we all get cravings! Sometimes I wake up in the morning more tired than before I went to bed and other times I wake up like a newborn lamb. Despite what day of the week it is my schedule never lets up because nobody else can do it for me so I get on with it, put up with it and pride myself on keeping my days structured, efficient and everything in place because a clean and tidy home is the key to happy and well-behaved children.
My lack of sleep, vegan diet and busy lifestyle goes against my new fitness goals at the moment but I’m determined to work my way around it because if I’m training hard then I’m hopefully of a blissful sleep coma and muscle recovery each night when I throw myself into bed. I adore pea and hemp protein so I’m sure I can build enough muscle by upping my intake and I already take on 2litres of water a day thanks to my giant water bottle. I’m also looking into finding management which will hopefully filter out my social requests so that I can focus on working without distraction. Last year I qualified as a personal trainer completing my Level 2 and 3 exams but I’ve yet to begin instructing or taking on one-on-one clients because although I have the qualifications I don’t feel that I have enough experience yet to motivate Joe Bloggs, so in competing and enthusiastically pushing my body to its limits I’m hoping to see first hand what I’m capable of achieving for my own clients and putting into practise everything I’ve learned from books. I’m already driven, active and ready for an almighty challenge so why not be my own guinea pig to prove my worth and earn my stripes.
I Lead A Very Active Lifestyle As A Busy Single MumHere I will be documenting my progress from day one in the gym to stepping on stage in the hope of taking home a trophy and then returning to my everyday diet and fitness routine after and how my body changes. I’m incredibly excited to be taking part in something so life-changing, inspirational and motivational in such a pivotal year of my life and in turn I hope that my journey may encourage others to do the same and become more active day-to-day regardless of age or weight – it’s never too late to put your health first! I’ll be including details of everything involved here from meal prepping to coaching, learning choreography, sourcing a stage bikini and heels, makeup, tanning and obviously my training plans and progress. I think it’s also important to address my emotional changes as well as the physical stats and measurements because already I feel hungry at the thought of denying myself treats, sugar and the giant portions I’m accustomed to. Add to the mix mother nature and the hormonal rollercoaster I ride once a month, life events, accidents, illness and injuries and I’m not expecting it to be plain sailing but I know that I can do anything I put my mind to in life, it just takes dedication, consistency and willpower. At present I’m not dating so I don’t have a snuggle buddy to spoon feed me (vegan) ice-cream in bed or tempt me out for a Sunday roast with all of the trimmings and a cocktail or two, but that could all very well change in the blink of an eye – stranger things have happened! I often wonder how bodybuilders maintain a healthy relationship when their diet and lifestyle is so strict and gruelling but I guess the proof shall be in the pudding – or not as the case may be!
UPDATE: My Stage Bikini From Allure Couture
A few months ago I had a bespoke bikini made by the very talented Lucy Ashworth of Allure Couture when I was researching into fitness fashion and now very conveniently this would be perfect to wear for my show in April! Lucy specialises in fitness bikini creations and is a strong single mother turned bodybuilder and woman after my own heart! The very first moment I met her I had goosebumps because it felt as though I’d known her all of my life, our life experiences are so similar and just like me she’s found her strength through being tested.
Tracy Kiss Allure Couture BikiniPart of getting placed at a show filled with hundreds of deserving contestants is having marketability and standing out in the fitness industry as each persons physique, stage presence and individual style is taken into consideration just as it would be in a beauty pageant so having a suitable bikini is paramount. Lucy and I came up with the concept for this bikini based upon hope and faith which is why we decided upon clear Swarovski crystals that catch the light beautifully. There is so much attention to detail involved in this bikini that I can’t help but gaze at it in awe and Lucy is a true perfectionist with hundreds of beads, pearls, studs, feathers and sequins bringing my bikini breathlessly sparkling to life at every angle.
I’ve jotted it onto my To-Do list to source some heels to wear with it and then look into posing classes to know how to walk, stand and quarter turn on stage but having my bikini ready is a big weight off of my shoulders already much like a bride sourcing the perfect wedding dress – now I can relax and get back to my barbells!
UPDATE: 08/12/16 Team Superfox Training & Nutrition Plan
I’m 13 days out of hospital recovering from my Labiaplasty surgery and as such I still have stitches but I’m allowed to do low impact exercises and have been back at the gym for the past few days taking it easy. Earlier in the week I spoke on the phone with the very talented and inspiration Lucy Walton of Team Superfox who has herself competed before and realised the need for a safe and stable training and nutrition regime for bringing athletes in and out of competitions without risking their health. We talked about my lifestyle, diet, current fitness, supplementation and ability to commit time to workouts for which I can train five days per week. At present I take iron supplements to combat anaemia and Udo’s Oil for my omegas as well as pea and hemp protein for recovery with oat milk or unsweetened almond milk. I usually cycle between plenty of brown rice, broccoli, lentils, soy, nuts and quinoa across an average week, although I could certainly switch my Sunday roasties for sweet potatoes and lower my banana addiction!
Team Superfox Training & Nutrition PlanSeeing as I’m having laser eye surgery next week on 15th December it means that just as my body has recovered from my labiaplasty I’ll be back healing again and have to take another week off of training which will take me up to 22nd December and a week of overeating festive food, my family coming to me for a Christmas day feast and no doubt a few well earned hangovers so the next couple of weeks are a bit of a write-off. As a result Lucy has provided me with an interim training plan and daily macro target as opposed to a complete breakdown per meal until my calendar evens out after Christmas.
Lucy Walton Sent Me Some Vegan GoodiesFor now Lucy has focused heavily on weight training four days per week with one cardio and core session which will change to five days of weights and targeted macros at the start of the New Year. I’m feeling really excited about beginning my training, it’s just annoying that my surgeries and Christmas are making me stop and start and I can’t jump straight into it and hit the ground running as I’d have liked. But maybe it’s for the best that I have this one final blow-out before the hard work begins, it’ll certainly make me appreciate my willpower a whole lot more and if anything my before and after transformation photos will look all the better for it! Yes, this is me totally justifying being a lazy, greedy pig for once!
UPDATE: 08/12/16 – Testing Legs At Bodyflex Gym
My friend Tony Montalbano is the owner of Bodyflex Gym in Aylesbury which has been open for 21yrs. A two time British champion and world champion he is a homage to natural bodybuilding and welcomes men and women of all ages to the three floors of free weights and machines in his superhero haven. I’ve walked past Tony’s gym for several years now and always admired the muscle-bound hunks and babes who breeze around making huge weights seem somehow effortless as I skip past with my ponytail swinging on my way to the commercial gym across town to go run on the treadmill or cross trainer for two hours. Polar opposite in physiques yet still a part of the bigger fitness picture, I never thought that one day I’d be stepping through the doors ready to change my water bottle and banana for dumbbells and protein shakes but here I am, a little Bambi ready to learn, absorb and try everything asked of me.
Tony Montalbano Of Bodyflex GymA massive bonus in having the guidance of a world champion is that Tony’s already been where I’m hoping to head, he knows what needs to be done and how to achieve it and has all of the equipment and expertise necessary to bring out the very best in me. I know full well if I’d have taken Lucy’s plan on my own to my everyday gym that I wouldn’t have pushed myself so hard because this type of training is entirely new to me, I certainly wouldn’t have lasted until failure nor had a spotter standing over me shouting words of encouragement to take me to my limits. When in Rome, as they say!
Today we trained legs as a way to break me in and test the water because I have no idea of the weights I’m capable of nor the sets and reps let alone the machines I’ve never used or even heard of before. As I’ve always trained for endurance I’ve haven’t needed to push myself to hypertrophy nor test my personal best as my fitness goals were to simply maintain my post-pregnancy figure as opposed to building muscle or losing body fat. So today we began with some leg extensions for quads, leg curls for hamstrings and barbell squats, leg press and front squats for compound finishing with calf raises. Seeing as I’ve always carried my children on my left hip I’m already aware that I suffer from scoliosis which was shockingly apparent from my form today in the mirror during my barbell squats. Typically I’d use the leg press after my cardio at the gym which keeps my hips and knees perfectly in line and my form considerably more tidy but it’s highlighted my bad posture and the improvements I need to make.
Front Squat At Bodyflex GymMy legs were literally trembling throughout and I realised just how much noise I make huffing and puffing as I screw up my face and dig deep. Comparing it to my early days training cardio I used to get hot and sweaty and out of breath, coughing as my lungs burned and sipping water gasping to break even but now I can easily maintain two hours of cardio whilst holding a full conversation and merely feeling warm as opposed to dripping in sweat so I know that with time and patience my strength will improve too and I’ll look back and laugh at how little my weights once were. The hardest time for anything is certainly the first time and everything from now on can only be an improvement, I’m already on my way!
UPDATE: Testing Bi’s, Tri’s & Abs At Bodyflex Gym
My legs feel surprisingly good this morning, I was expecting to be walking like John Wayne and get stranded at the top of my staircase, perhaps having to surf a dinner tray down to the lounge in order to spare my quads to do the school run. But I guess because I only did a taster workout I’m only a little tender this morning and the real pain will happen on my first proper session. My arms are by far the weakest part of my body and I’ve always struggled with press-ups and pull-ups because of my weak elbows and wrists. Even scrawny is an understatement for describing my arms right now. So we focused on bi’s, tri’s and a little abs working my way through bicep handle cable curls and preacher barbell EZ curls and then tricep handle push downs and cybex tricep extensions followed by the thera crunch and hanging leg raises for abs.
Preacher Curl At Bodyflex GymIf only I’d have taped paintbrushes to my elbows I think I could have created the most amazing piece of abstract art today because my arms were all over the place and just as shockingly weak as I expected. It wasn’t long before I reached failure and the drop sets has me laughing as I trembled through the burn. I think I always see the worst in my own performance because I’m self critical when training and as soon as I start to lose form no amount of determination can bring me back which is frustrating because I want to progress but I have to have patience.
I’ve never attempted to progress my arms for my current fitness goals because I feel strong enough day-to-day from working out but I’m now starting to register on the scale of exactly where I am and where I have to be by April and it’s the polar opposite of my body right now. I’d say I’m a 2/10 on arms at the moment which will be my biggest area for improvement with my legs at about a 4/10 and my abs most unnoticeable at a 1/10. Being on my period with surgery stitches still in my private parts I wasn’t feeling my best during abs but I never allow it to stop me from working out. I suffer from very heavy periods, constant stomach cramps and lower backache which I grin and bare else I’d never do anything during my cycle if I let it get the better of me. Although I don’t devote specific time to ab work at present my active lifestyle means that I have pretty good core strength and flexibility as standard it’s just hiding under several layers of lentil curry, frozen bananas and peanut butter at the moment! Finishing with hanging leg raises it wasn’t my abs that burnt me out but the circulation in my arms as they tingled and burned and I hand to jump down and flop into a jellyfish on the floor and admit defeat!
Tracy Kiss & Tony Montalbano Bodyflex Gym
I’m loving this challenge so far and know that if I can complete this then I can do anything. Filming my workouts with Facebook live each day as Tony puts me through my paces is so much fun, no only do we laugh our way through the mornings but I also get to play with his rottweiler Rocky in-between sets being on camera is a really good way to keep track of my visual progress and stay striving because I know that with my friends and family watching I want to give it my all because the banter is unreal!
Remember to check back soon to see how I’m getting on! If you have any feedback, questions or thoughts for me then please feel free to leave them in the comments box below!

A Licentiate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers Leigh Perkins LIPP has over thirty years experience in the photographic industry and is assisted by his wonderful wife Zena – the warm and friendly voice that greets me on the telephone from the Mighty Aphrodite studio in Reading. It’s been a decade since I first started modelling at the ripe age of eighteen when I was signed as a Page 3 Model to the Daily Sport newspaper back in 2006; fast forward two children, a few surgeries, hairstyles I’d rather forget and heartbreak and I now find myself as a strong single mother looking to celebrate my 29th year of existence.

With my 30th birthday fast approaching in 2017 I literally have a bucket list as long as my arm of things that I would like to achieve before I say goodbye to my twenties, one of them being a sassy photoshoot in celebration of all things boudoir and BDSM of course! Having perused the Mighty Aphrodite website after a quick Google search, I found their expertise in tasteful nude photography inspiring and my fear of stretch marks, cellulite and wrinkles vanished the second that I stepped into the reception area. Leigh and Zena had such a wonderful way of putting me at ease, offering me cups of tea and snacks whilst answering all of my questions.

As we’d already spoken on the telephone prior to my photoshoot I arrived in the bright and modern, artfully adorned reception with freshly washed hair and a case of my own favourite lingerie and shoes as requested for my shoot. I’d decided on Package 3 the Digi Shoot costing £850.00 which includes professional hair and makeup, being photographed in three different studio sets, a gift-boxed USB stick containing 250-300 proof photos and digital editing and airbrushing on 30 images of my choice. Seeing as I wanted to use the images mostly for my social media I don’t need to have any printed but the file sizes will happily print at a 12″x8″ with each photo conveniently provided in colour, black and white and sepia to suit every home decor.

I was advised to allow around five hours for my photoshoot and arrived shortly after having dropped my two children at school. We discussed the lingerie I had selected and what sets they’d work best with before I was shown upstairs to the studio where my makeup artist Catherine was all set up and ready for me at her beautifully organised Chesterfield desk and light-bulb lit mirror. Seeing as I have sensitive skin it was an absolute treat to have my face cleansed, massaged and moisturised with vegan-friendly products prior to being made-up and the lotions and creams smelt divine. Undressed and sitting in a fluffy white robe to prevent any marks on my skin from my underwear, I felt incredibly pampered as I closed my eyes and let Catherine work her magic. Together we decided to start with a soft and natural makeup with gentle curls building up to to smoky black eyes and big hair for the final more daring photos. I’m awful at doing my own makeup, can never get my eyes even and have the most flattest, fine and boring hair ever known to man but somehow Catherine transformed me from a ragged-mother into an elegant swan as we chatted about Christmas shopping and nibbled on a wonderful selection of fresh fruit, wholemeal crisps and chilled water which I found exceptionally thoughtful in catering for my vegan diet.
Tracy Kiss Mighty Aphrodite Photography
Made-up to perfection and primed in my best lingerie I visited the hotel-style en-suite bathroom for one final tinkle before stepping in front of the camera. Catching sight of myself in the mirror as I washed my hands I couldn’t help but smile at my reflection. It’s not often I get to see myself looking so well groomed, I almost didn’t recognise the person beaming back at me! As women we are far too quick to criticise our own bodies and hang onto the signs of childbirth, age and gravity in places that once upon a time used to be so flawless and pert. I spent most of my teenage and early adult years wanting to be taller, skinnier, have bigger breasts, better teeth, a smaller nose, the usual wish-list that we make in the mirror as we ponder over perfection; but the older I grow the more grateful I am for what I still have and I cherish each moment for what it is – my body warts and all. My reflection hadn’t just make me look beautiful for the first time in a long time, but it made me feel beautiful as a woman and that’s an experience we deserve more often in life.
Tracy Kiss Mighty Aphrodite Photography
As the flashbulbs popped the soft lighting washed over my curves and the silky bedsheets rippled between my fingers sending the hairs on the back of my neck delightfully up on end. Any nerves I’d previously had about being undressed in front of the camera were blissfully erased with every hair flick, pout and ping of my bra strap and I soon got into the swing of things. Leigh has a wonderful way of giving guidance and direction throughout in order to find the most flattering positions and poses that are sexy and feminine whilst still being classy and respectful. And with Zena at the helm of the Apple iMac I was instantly able to see my images on screen as they appeared just seconds after being taken on the camera which helpfully allowed me to see how I looked, which shots worked best and change anything that wasn’t quite right – a hand placement here or a dreamy gaze there.
As I wanted to shoot up to nude art we broke each set into three stages, starting in lingerie, undressing to topless and finally removing everything but my heels and a smile for carefully positioned shots to cover my most intimate parts whilst still having the dramatic impact of not wearing any clothes. The studio, like the photography, experience and hospitality has been meticulously planned down to every last detail with Broadway production-style rollers moving walls, backdrops, bedding and props into position to provide a selection of unique and inspiring sets that gave me not just the beautiful photos that I’d hoped for but also a fully professional model portfolio.
Tracy Kiss Mighty Aphrodite Photography
The dynamic of shooting with a husband and wife team made me feel incredibly comfortable, welcome, respected and free to express myself at all times. Their many years of expertise certainly shines through in all aspects of the session from the exceptionally high level of hospitality to the state of the art technology used throughout, ergonomically designed studio and flawless finish of the digital photos and printed products. The time seemed to pass by in an instant of smiles and snaps and before I knew it I was fully dressed and zipping up my travel case, ready to view my first professionally retouched image on the big screen.
I am beyond thrilled with my entire experience at Mighty Aphrodite; not only was it a massive confidence boost for me – not to mention a blissfully luxurious break from my schedule as a busy mother – but I can also say that I’ve gained some great friends and it’s no wonder their customers travel from all over the world year after year to come back for more photos and to keep in touch. These are just a few of my favourite photos from my shoot and you can view my topless and nude art pictures here.
Whether you’re looking to start a modelling career, capture a stage in your life when you’re feeling good, celebrate a weight loss or body transformation, immortalise the love and chemistry in a couples shoot, mark a special anniversary or simply surprise a partner, loved one or friend with an unforgettable gift then there are plenty of options, gift vouchers and products to choose from including wallet albums, books, prints, frames, boxes, calendars and digital files that you can print at the studio or from home. They say a picture speaks a thousand words so let boudoir photography be the language of love.
November 20, 2016
Life can be a pretty stressful and uncertain journey even for the most positive people like myself; I’m a single mother to my two young children and have just turned twenty-nine with not so much as a hint of wedding bells on the horizon. We’re repeatedly faced with heartache, bad health and long working hours that undoubtedly take their toll on our bodies and as such supermarkets are packed full of pills, potions and remedies for waking us up and then helping us back to sleep again, numbing us from aches and pains and taking preventative measures towards allergies from our homes and the toxic lifestyles that we lead. But do we really know what goes into the cosmetics, foods and cleaning products that we use everyday and the shockingly negative side effects it has on our health?
Following the birth of my second child I struggled with sleepless nights, low self esteem and a rollercoaster of hormones which had me bursting into tears one moment and then smiling the next. Looking back I always felt better after having sex, or most precisely – having semen, which is possibly down to the fact that semen is natures antidepressant. A study by students at the University of New York found that female students who had intercourse without using a condom i.e. absorbed the semen into their blood stream showed fewer signs of depression than those who had no direct contact with semen.
I’ve been vegetarian since the age of five and turned vegan almost three years ago and pretty soon after I noticed a big drop in my energy levels. I constantly felt tired, could hear my heartbeat in my ear, got out of breath doing simple exercises and felt faint when turning corners too fast for which a blood test diagnosed me as anaemic due to my choice of diet. After much research online I came across semen as a natural supplement to help to target anaemia and depression thanks to its high vitamin and mineral content with a single teaspoon containing over two hundred proteins (our bodies building blocks which strengthen and repair hair, skin, nails, tissue and bones), minerals and vitamin C (essential for supporting the immune system, lowering blood pressure, preventing cancer and strokes and improving skin elasticity), vitamin E, vitamin B12 (combatting tiredness and assisting red blood cells), calcium (for strong teeth and bones as well as heart and muscle function), chlorine, citric acid, fructose, potassium (supporting the heart and kidneys, the nervous system and metabolism), lactic acid, nitrogen, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium and zinc (an antioxidant to fight the signs of ageing).
I’m A Vegan Personal Trainer & Nutrition Advisor Using Semen As A Daily Supplement
This year I qualified as a personal trainer and nutrition advisor and now understand the importance of maintaining a healthy balanced lifestyle as I supplement my vegan diet daily with the aim to live longer, feel stronger and take care of my health both now and in the future rather than being skinny and malnourished or yo-yo dieting and putting myself at risk of diabetes, cancer and disease. I’ve found that I’m noticeably more perky and happy when I’ve consumed semen its natural ingredient melatonin is an antidepressant which also helps to induce sleep and relaxation. Perhaps not as well known is that oral sex assists in lowering blood pressure and reduces the risk of prostrate cancer in men with each ejaculation so there are undeniably health benefits for men and women alike in producing and consuming semen. But it’s the taboos of society that I feel are holding people back from trying or even admitting to already drinking semen. Yet we can all do with upping our vitamin intake, reducing the amount of daily stress we put upon ourselves and improving our diet and lifestyle without additional processed foods and pills. When I eat and live well I have far more energy, am more active well into the evening, sleep better, have a more positive mood and outlook throughout my day and fend off and prevent sickness more effectively. I drink a protein shake every morning before going to the gym and thanks to my friend kindly donating his semen to me I now have a naturally healthy dose of natural vitamins and minerals that I can add to it too. My children have had several sickness bugs, coughs and sneezes between them this term just like the hundreds of others at their school because of the changing of the seasons, yet I’ve managed to stay fighting fit throughout which I attribute to my strong immune system.
Being single I haven’t got constant access to semen from a sexual partner but it’s something that I would hope to find one day and could certainly benefit from in a relationship. As my focus is on raising my two children alone I have very little free time to myself and haven’t been on a date in almost a year – which ended up as a great friendship. I’ve made peace with being single now, I’m independent, hard-working and don’t rely on or ask anything of anybody – what will be will be and I’d rather remain single and happy than settle for the wrong relationship for fear of being alone. Currently I already use my friends semen as a facial beauty treatment to soothe my rosacea which is a skin complaint that runs in my family. Before consuming the tubs of semen that he drops off to me a few times a week for my facials I thought I should first check that he was ok with me now drinking it rather than just using it as a face mask. I suppose when you’ve already breeched the subject of using a friends semen as part of a beauty regime then it’s not as surprising to ask their permission to drink it too and thankfully he was fine with it. We’ve been friends for quite a few years now and have never been anything more, there’s no perverseness involved, no unrequited love or sexual interaction whatsoever. It’s a case of putting something to good use that would have otherwise been wasted anyway.
I Am Not Involved In The Ejaculation Process
It’s a shame that we shy away from or are ignorant to natural cosmetics and remedies which I believe is down to the louder, more flashy and attractive commercial rivals taking the limelight with grand marketing budgets and campaigns. Just because something isn’t bright white and in an expensive glossy box doesn’t mean that it’s not just as good, if not better for you, than something designer that you’d boast to your friends about. I’ve found the most genuine, effective and helpful things in life by exploring, researching and speaking to people, not walking down a supermarket aisle and being hit by a wall of mind-numbing advertisements. If you ask anybody over the age of fifty for their health tips and tricks you’ll be amazed at what they’ll recommend, from stock cupboard ingredients to wild plants you can forage or exotic finds from abroad – today we know it as life hacks but not so long ago it was just called life. My nan always put raw egg whites on burns and swore by using vinegar as a way to remove headline, a few pence in basic ingredients for something leading brands charge you several pounds for.
Since word has spread about my penchant for natural products, health and fitness I’ve been called a cross between Jen Selter and Bear Grylls for my bravery I’m not afraid to push my limits and try new things, which is very flattering but at the same time shouldn’t we all be like this anyway? Shouldn’t we all want to step outside of the box, feel good about our bodies, be fit, healthy, live as long as possible and have our own minds? Since when did we stop being human in favour of easily led sheep? I think the birth of social media has undoubtedly made the world more anti-social as we now fear being singled out publicly as different, criticised for our appearance or our actions deemed as uncool or embarrassing. We can either go with the flow to put up and shut up or stand up and be counted, and after 25yrs of been a doormat I decided in 2013 that I could do with stretching my legs for once and now here I am three years on with over two million social media followers. But I’m certainly not against cosmetics, far from it, I do however believe in choice, having healthier options and knowing exactly what goes into the food and products that we consume. We owe it to ourselves to be informed and educated in our decisions because in the not so distant future the actions we take today will have a reaction on our health tomorrow and I plan on being a strong, nimble and positive 99yr old happily bouncing my great great grandchildren on my own knee.
My Friend Kindly Supplies Me With Semen
Health and beauty varies between different cultures and countries around the world; in Thailand women put rings around their necks to stretch them out and make them longer, in Mauritius obesity is a sign of wealth, in New Zealand blue lips and chin tattoos are favoured by the Maori people, in China women bound their feet to make them smaller, in Brazil they celebrate big hips and buttocks, in France some women prefer not to use cosmetics, perfume or hair removal, in South Korea ladies have surgery to make their eyes wide and round and Ethiopia women mutilate their bodies by carving swirls into their skin because they think that it makes them look more attractive. With people prepared to go through such extreme actions in the name of beauty it makes my drinking semen seem respectfully mild in comparison. I would never want to push my faith, beliefs or lifestyle onto others as I will happy sit at a table with somebody of another religion, skin colour, age, gender and culture happily tucking into my raw food outnumbered by carnivores. But if people ask for my advice, my opinion or support I will happily give it to them because we can always better ourselves, improve or education and become more experienced, knowledgable and open to change.
Much like women are encouraged to check their breasts for lumps and attend smear tests the quality of semen can also tell a man a lot about his own health because if there’s a dramatic change in taste, texture or volume it can be an indicator of something sinister that a GP should check out. We should all feel comfortable enough in our own bodies and within a relationship to know when something isn’t right and have the freedom to speak about it to friends, family and health professionals without feeling embarrassed or judged unfairly because of it; after all it’s 2016 not 1816!
Drinking Semen Is A Natural Way To Increase Vitamin Intake And Fend Off Depression And Anaemia
Trying my friends semen for the first time was certainly an eye-opening experience as I’ve only ever consumed semen as an act of love rather than understanding the many health benefits. Individual servings will undoubtedly vary as everybody has their own taste, and diet certainly influences the flavour. Consuming pineapple juice, peppermint, wheatgrass and cinnamon beforehand will make it taste a little more palatable and asparagus should be avoided in the days leading up to ejaculation if you’re put off by bitterness. The semen in this video was about an hour old by the time that I got to drink it and as a result it was kept at room temperature in a bowl but not yet refrigerated. In past relationships I have tasted semen during oral sex for which it delivers warmly to the back of the throat and the taste isn’t always apparent because it almost misses the tongue completely. However my friends semen was surprisingly cool, very salty and glossy as I poured a teaspoon into my mouth to taste it and I was surprised by how salty and strong it was.
Much like I would taste and compare protein shakes when deciding on which one to have for tomorrows breakfast, the teaspoon of my friends semen was cool, savoury, light and left a glossy film on the back of my throat with a slightly musky pang to the aftertaste. I suppose the thought of drinking semen is far worse than the actual taste itself and the health benefits certainly come out on top. Like anything in life the more you experience it the more normal it becomes and I don’t feel embarrassed or sickened by drinking my friends semen at all; I’d be more likely to gag over bodybuilders drinking raw egg whites or sizing up joints of bloodied meat in the butchers for dinner. I’ve welcomed a daily shot of semen into my daily health routine; within a loving relationship and in a not-so-clinical way I think it’s also a mutually beneficial and beautiful moment to share. What are your thoughts?

Also, when you’re scared of getting the flu, you just have a jab or carry round hand sanitiser, right? Well, Tracy Kiss isn’t your average influenza-dodger. I’m a huge fan of cotton underwear; not only is it super comfy and breathable to lounge about in compared to the underwired alternatives, but I also think it’s smoking hot as it shows off every curve, contour and corner of the body in an innocently intriguing way. Cue this sizzling Tommy Hilfiger set from Boxers And Briefs!
Boxers And Briefs Tommy Hilfiger Red Iconic Cotton Striped Bralette & Brief
Here I’m wearing a size S top and XS bottoms made from 90% cotton and 10% elastane. The bralette and matching brief are beautifully soft, stretchy and unpadded featuring the iconic Tommy Hilfiger logo across the elastic hem. I’m totally digging the classic red and white stripes which capture sporty and sexy perfectly and look awesome with or without a tan. With a racer back the bralette provides a full range of motion for the arms and doesn’t dig in at the shoulders or ribs like more rigid bras do when presented with a fuller bust making it ideal for sleeping in.
The matching cotton brief has slightly less coverage than a traditional knicker and therefore allows for a sneaky peek of side cheeks for which you can playfully pull up the waistband on the hips to really elongate the legs. Whether you’re looking for casual loungewear, sexy lingerie or a mix of the two Boxers And Briefs always have the hottest designer lingerie sets to keep on top of the latest trends at such affordable prices!

When it comes to real breathtaking moments I think there are a few occasions that stay with us a lifetime; the moment somebody first whispers the words “I love you” the first time you try on your wedding dress, the moment you first hold your newborn baby, and for me today I had the very same butterflies opening the golden presentation box and seeing my stunning Allure Couture bikini for the very first time.
Allure Couture Bespoke Swarovski Crystal Bikini
To celebrate turning thirty years old in 2017 I will be entering my very first bikini contest and this bespoke Swarovski crystal beauty will be with me every step of the way. Intricately handmade from hundreds of crystals, pearls, roses, lace, beads, tassels and a whole lot of silver sequins, designer and creator Lucy Ashworth has exquisitely captured my attitude and enthusiasm towards fitness with this angelic piece.
Tracy Kiss Allure Couture Bikini
I met up with Lucy a few weeks ago for a design brief and measuring session where I was able to try on some gorgeous handmade bikinis, look at a selection of colours and discuss the final look and style that I wanted for my custom piece. Seeing as my tattoos are of butterflies, angel wings, feathers and flowers we decided on a bright and uplifting colour scheme with silver, white and crystals that sparkle mesmerisingly through every colour of the rainbow when they catch the light. Lovingly hand sewn the attention to detail is sensational and the opulent purple velvet lining makes the bikini incredibly comfortable to wear.
My Beautiful Allure Couture Bikini
I feel like a million dollars when I slip into it, an elegant swan, Disney princess and angel all rolled into one and I literally can’t stop smiling from ear to ear – I just wish every woman could have the chance to feel how magical and meaningful this is. The attention to detail, quality and craftsmanship that goes into making each piece is something entirely unrivalled on the highstreet or catalogues; this is a truly unique, bespoke designer bikini that nobody else in the world has but me and I know that it will be an absolute showstopper the moment that I step out onto the stage wearing it.
Weather you’re also attending a fitness show, soon to be sipping cocktails at a pool party in Las Vegas, Marbella, Ibiza or LA, planning a hen-do to outdo every hen-do ever known to man or simply want to treat yourself or a loved one to absolute luxury then I cannot recommend Allure Couture enough for bespoke bikinis. From conceptual design to flawless creation and all of the butterflies, smiles and tears of joy that it’s given me in-between as I strive to achieve my fitness dreams; thank you all for sharing in my special moment and I’ll be updating this blog in May 2017 with a picture of me competing on stage wearing my pride and joy. Fingers crossed for first place!

I rarely wear hats for the simple fact that they make my head too hot. In the summer caps make me sweat and in the winter bobble hats feel far too constricting, I guess it’s a part of my body that is never covered so when I put on a hat I become claustrophobic almost. However with sub-zero temperatures upon us I can’t stand the chill of cold wind blowing in my ears which is why I got myself this beautiful braided headband from H&M!
H&M Black Braided Headband
Made from 100% acrylic this one-size-fit-all soft knitted headband keeps my ears beautifully covered whilst allowing my head to remain uncovered. I don’t mind pulling my hood up when it rain as it’s not as tight as wearing a hat and my headband fits perfectly underneath allowing me to feel that I can still breath. It’s nice and stretchy and doesn’t feel too tight or cause indentations on my forehead which is a huge plus and it looks fab with a pair of black boots and faux-fur gloves.
Priced at a very reasonable £4.99 this headband adds a nice little touch of glamour to my daywear and is a great accessory for a time of year when we’re covered by long coats and full sleeves. H&M have such a fantastic and affordable winter range and I’m trying my hardest not to over indulge as I do my Christmas shopping; one for you, two for me! Whoops!

Green is a colour that I don’t wear very often but I can’t for the life of me think why because this beautiful mint mesh tunic from my Amazon Wishlist is so adorable. I’d like to say a very big thank you to my kind reader who gifted it to me, you rock!
Amazon Wishlist Mint Mesh Tied Tunic
Here I am wearing a size UK8 mesh tunic in mint. Made in Italy the chemise comprises of 95% viscose and 5% elastane which is soft, light and stretchy providing coverage and length beneath the mint meshed tunic. With a tan faux-leather belt the bat-winged tunic can be tied to the torso to create an elegant hourglass figure whilst concealing the stomach and making a feature of the bust.
I love how bright and cheerful this duo is and I’m wearing it here as a dress which is pretty short but would look equally adorable with a pair of beige shorts and heels on a balmy evening out or white cropped trousers and sandals to catch up with friends over a coffee. Experimenting with colour can totally change your appearance and lift your mood but if you’re not brave enough to go bold and eye-catching then a subtle pastel shade such as this is a wonderful way to inject a bit of life into your look and put a smile on your face.

Vegan foods are sadly few and far between in everyday shopping and dining, yet it’s clear that there’s a shift in the need for more dietary requirements as larger stores are broadening their stock and independent restaurants opening up their menus. There’s still a way to go before veganism becomes the norm so when I stumble upon a new nibble I can’t help but tell all of my friends about it! Cue the Clearspring Snack Organic Range!
Clearspring Snack Organic Tamari Roasted Soya With Tomato & Herb
This vegan friendly range consists of beans, seeds, fruit and nuts designed to be used as healthy snacks on the go. Here I have the Tamari Roasted Soya With Tomato & Herb snack pack which is lovingly roasted in small batches from organic soya grown in the EU and free from dairy, wheat, gluten and added sugar. High in fibre and protein it’s also a great source of magnesium and kicks my cravings for crisps and biscuits as I’m a lover of savouries and crunchy textures.
The soya beans are light and crisp with a tang of sweet tomato and a mellow warmth of spice that puts me in mind of my childhood tradition of a bowl of tomato soup and chunk of crusty bread on a chilly afternoon. The rich flavours make you cherish and appreciate each bite, a more mature and palatable sophisticated snack that you can be proud to pop into a desk draw or gym bag.
