It keeps me sane because it's the one thing in life that I can control. It's fun. So I fit it in when other people might be reading (I still do that sometimes too) or watching tv or playing games. Naptimes are great when the kids take them. So is movie time. And I like to carry a notebook around so that I can work on things when I have just a few minutes (like when waiting to pick someone up in the car). (less)

In middle school I had the idea of designing six magical clans based on the rainbow colors (no, I don't count indigo). Then after college I had a dream about royals trying to escape a castle through doors hidden in unlikely places. I combined them and revised a lot and it evolved into the Spectra.(less)
