Patty is a woman who loves to write and is in a season in her life in which she chooses to pursue it wholeheartedly. Patty began writing as a child and became a faithful journaler as a teen and young adult. In college, she entertained her professors with profound insights about the human psyche and its interaction with the complex world in which it lives. After graduate school, she published her first two articles, “The Art of Reasoning Well” (Biola University, Winter, 2013) and “Misguided Migration” (Christian Research Journal, Vol. 40/No.1, 2017), and her first book, "A Woman's Guide To Knowing What You Believe: How To Love God With Your Heart and Your Mind" (Bethany House, October 2015).

Writing is my best friend. It's a friend I tell everything to, uncensored. I would say, however, that if you are experiencing writer's block, just start writing and let the words flow. Don't edit them. Don't judge them. Don't use them as vehicles to please. Just write. And if you don't know what to write, then start with, "I don't know what to write." Who knows? Perhaps that question will unlock the block. Perhaps you will find that your motivation for writing is misguided and needs to be realigned. Listen to your words. They are where your answer lies.
