I have three other books in various stages of completion, as well as various short stories here and there. It certainly helps keep me writing when writers block hits for one of my projects.
Alternately, sometimes it's good to take a step back and take a breather. You can't force the words to come. (less)

It's easy to get discouraged or run out of steam, but if you don't keep going, then you'll never know what you could create. One of the best pieces of advice I received was this:
Write the story first and then edit. Don't stop to go back over what you've written until it's completely finished. There's a reason why the first draft is called a "rough draft". It's going to be rough. The revision and editing process is there to help you clean it up, but don't let yourself get distracted before you've finished the first draft of your project.(less)
