I used to be the least numerate tax barrister ever to practise at the English bar but now I'm writing at last and it's the best 'job' in the world - not least because I'm writing funny teen books with my 18 year old daughter, Honor Cargill. Hon has just joined Good Reads - go and say hi to her!

I'm so sorry I didn't notice this message. Thank you! Well, I guess that our biggest tip would be to have fun along the way. We couldn't write together unless we had lots of laughter. We don't write side by side though - we both nee dour own space and we email each other drafts (sometimes even if we're in the same house!). I think if you're collaborating with someone play to your strengths too - so, for example, Hon is super good at dialogue but really bad at proofing and spelling (she's dyslexic) so I tend to take control of those bits. Anyway hope you enjoy the books and have a fab 2017! Perdita x(less)
