It takes place many years after the events of the first book in a city that has been built on top of the Lilac Kingdom. The foxes will have to face more modern horrors like cars and exterminators and veterinarians. In it, we'll find out what happens to Mia's and Uly's great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandkits.

As for Mia's mom, we can only guess what happened to her from the hints in the first book. Here's hoping the sequel scratches that itch.

By the way, if you haven't read this, here's the story Beatrix Potter wrote for Mia: http://www.cmheidicker.com/blog/2019/...(less)

Hi, Grace! I'm so happy you enjoyed SSFYF!

And I do have some advice. When first starting out, write one page a day. If you don't know what happens next, write something bad (even blah blah blah) until you get to a part of the story where you do know what happens. When the story is finished, put it away for a few months and then look at it again with fresh eyes. Before you start making edits, schedule a day a few weeks or months in the future for a friend to read it.

This system lights a fire under me. Hope it does you, as well :)(less)
