Demi-bisexual writer, editor, and story curator who spends way too much time on the internet. Er dogs are absolutely cuter than you.

Best known as the senior editor of Vitality Magazine, which published awesome stories featuring LGBT protagonists from 2014-2016.

(NOTE: I *rarely* check my private messages on Goodreads. If you need to get a hold of me, you're much better using email or twitter.)

The dates that went on during December of 2016 are hard to tell in anything resembling a “chronological order.” I was going on something like 7-8 dates a week – one time even 3 in one day. I was giddy with choice, and loving...

Jennifer Donnelly
“It goes on, this world, stupid and brutal.
But I do not.
I do not.”
Jennifer Donnelly, Revolution

Sarah Diemer
“Gay kids aren’t a “plot point” that you can play with. Gay kids are real, actual kids, teenagers, growing up into awesome adults, and they don’t have the books they need to reflect that. Growing up, my nose was constantly stuck in a book. Growing up as a lesbian, I was told over and over and over by the lack of gayness in said books that I did not exist. That I wasn’t important enough to tell stories about. That I was invisible. Why are we telling our kids this? Why are we telling them that they’re a minority, and they don’t deserve the same rights as straights, that they’re going to grow up in a world that despises them, that the intolerance of humanity will never change, that they’re worthless. It’s not true.”
Sarah Diemer

Ally Condie
“I'm so tired.
Once, I wanted to watch the floods coming into a canyon, to stand on the edge and see it happen, on ground that was safe but shaking. I'd like to hear the trees snapy away and see the water come higher, I thought, but only from a place where it couldn't reach me.
Now I think it might be a terrifying, bright relief to stand on the canyon floor and see the wall of water coming down, and to know this is it, I am finished, and before you could even complete the thought, you would be swallowed, and whole.”
Ally Condie, Reached

Rae Carson
“A word is the only thing in the world made more powerful by absence than existence.”
Rae Carson, The Bitter Kingdom

Rosamund Hodge
“I don't love him. But I take a treacherous delight in him.”
Rosamund Hodge, Gilded Ashes

N.K. Layne Hey, I'm writing a guide on Goodreads and I use your profile in an example screen shot. Is that okay? If not I can choose another sucker, that's fine.

N.K. Layne Do you have a Twitter?

message 5: by N.K.

N.K. Layne Also I picked up Enders Game based on your suggestion! So, that's probably going to happen sometime this fall/winter. Thanks for the discourse.

Lucy Qhuay Thanks for the friend invite, Jesse! :)
Let's hope Hoot partner us up for the challenge.

Rachael Bundy We should pick a book to read at the same time...and discuss it. I really need practice having thoughtful discussions of books and writing intelligent critiques outside of just doing it for school! And I can't find a book club that fits my schedule around here!

Rachael Bundy What was your opinion on the Game of Thrones series? Should I read it? I'm really intrigued, but the books have been checked out at the library for months. Did you like them enough to buy them?
A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin
(Ooooh you can add book links and pictures on here too! Haha)
