Though he enjoys photography and outdoor adventures like kayaking, and spending time in his backyard with his chickens, David A. Wierth’s true passion is, of course, teaching. Through teaching, he hopes his students begin to see the myriad ways in which all things are connected. He is pictured here with his wife, Dori and four-month-old daughter, Audrey. David was awarded Teacher of the Year for his work in the Portland Public School District.
