Debut Novel 'The Veldt Institute' coming out in 2025

My debut full-length, a novel entitled 'The Veldt Institute' is slated to be published this year by Double--Negative press.

The best way I've found to describe the book is if the narrator from Murnane's The 'Plains' found himself in the Sanatorium from Thomas Mann's 'The Magic Mountain' which happened to be in the Zone from Tarkovsky's Stalker.

Release date hasn't been set but I'll be providing more info here as it becomes available.

Currently there are two excerpts available online:
-Dr. Lysergus and the Holy Fool on minor literature[s]
-The Veldt Light in new sinews

minor li[s]t

Very glad to have an entry in minor literature[s] "minor li[s]t"

minor literature[s] assembled an anti-cannon by asking past contributors write a brief entry on a book that would be consider to be 'minor literature'.

A link: minor li[s]t

I chose Coetzee's 'Jesus Trilogy', mostly because I enjoyed it, I don't see people talking about it very often and it was one of the first books to come to mind.

There are all the usual suspects on her (Beckett, Borges, Acker) but plenty of names that are new to me, at least.

Absolutely worth a scan.

Year End Round Up

It was a quiet year in terms of my own publications.

- "Two Stories" was published on minor literature[s] in March, you can find them here.

Most of my literary energy this year went into running ergot. and I'm very proud at the quality of the work that I've been able to publish on the site, the authors I've connected with.

Give ergot. a look if you haven't already.

At the start of the new year I hope to have some pretty big news to share as well.
