See if you get inspired and come back to it at full strength. If that doesn't happen, then you don't dwell on it, you focus on what made you start writing the book in the first place or what you like most about it, and plow through the roadblocks without looking back. It's never easy, but you always have to believe in yourself and hold onto that power. That's the key.(less)

Once you complete a book, get it published, and in your hands, its a feeling of everlasting accomplishment unlike anything else. In the end, you learn a lot about yourself, because every author has to overcome challenges and the finished product is vindication and proof to the world of that.(less)

James McPike Received great news today that my book The Lost Prophet was a Winner in www.christianretailingsbest.com Awards for Fiction: mystery/suspense! The other two finalists were Carrie Stuart Parks (who was mentored by Frank Peretti) and Lynette Eason! The author that won this category last year was none other than NY Times Bestseller Joel C. Rosenberg.
