Ben Willoughby was born in the United States and, being a military brat, ended up seeing a lot of it (along with a foreign country or two). At a very young age, he found a love for reading. At the age of 12, he found a passion for writing. In his late 20's, he decided to pursue publishing many of the ideas and concepts he had developed over the years.

He currently lives in Ohio, with his loving wife and young daughter. When not writing or reading, he spends his spare time sketching and smoking his pipe.

I fully intend to do so, actually. I've worked on a good chunk of it, and might soon get back into it. I've been distracted by:

1) Other projects. (EG., Mannegishi)
2) Real life matters. Namely, moving across the country, finding a new job, supporting my family, making sure they're taken care of, etc.

The good news is, I may have a new job soon (praise God), and things are settling down. I need to get back into writing ASAP, as I've been away from it too long. In short, fear not, I'm not going George R.R. Martin on you guys.(less)

Well, Rhys won't eat you, but your chances of survival would be greater with Hannibal, since he often saw his murders as beneficial to society. Rhys, meanwhile, is a sociopath. So...I'd have to go with Rhys.(less)

“You're seeing yourself as having missed the target already. That's your fear. That's hurting you. But then you got yourself seeing all your shots being bulls eyes. That's your confidence. It's making you cocky. It's making you think you're infallible. See? That's hurting you too. Don't think of yourself as already defeated. Don't think of yourself as already won. Just concentrate on what you're doing. Think about now.”
Ben Willoughby, Gods on the Mountain

“I have not met this person, and yet I hate him more than anything, for in him is everything I hate.”
Ben Willoughby, Gods on the Mountain

“You have been insulted, and you have been beaten...and yet you have refused to let any of it hurt you where it really mattered: on the inside. You are indeed a stone. You withstand the waves and winds of this world, and you remain strong.”
