Connie Lacy worked for many years as a radio reporter and news anchor after dabbling in acting in college and community theater. Those experiences show up in some of her novels.

Her novels are fast-paced stories featuring young women facing serious challenges set against a backdrop of some thorny issues. She writes time travel, magical realism, speculative fiction and historical fiction - all with a dollop of romance.

Growing up, she lived in Japan and Okinawa where her Army dad was stationed. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a degree in Journalism and Creative Writing. She and her husband live in Atlanta.

My debut audiobook is here!

I’m excited to announce that my first audiobook is now available on Amazon and iTunes. The narration of The Time Capsule is performed by none other than yours truly. See the brief guided tour of my humble recording booth above.

When I first decided to create an audiobook, I had no clue how challenging it would be. I worked in radio news for many years and was used to anc

The best novel I’ve read, maybe ever. Maggie O’Farrell transports the reader to 16th century England, to Stratford upon Avon, where we all know a boy named Hamnet died. The author takes the few details we have about Shakespeare’s home life and create ...more

“Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.”

“Traumatic events can be compared to facing a demon pitcher on the baseball diamond. Life tells us we have to take a swing at the ball, but engaging this demon comes with consequences. If you make first base, you’ll feel the need to sleep. Not so bad. Second, you’ll want to forget it all happened. Don’t we all? But third base brings the onset of madness and if you step off the plate there’s only death. In the great game of life, sometimes it’s better to strike out than hit a home run. After all, you can relax in the Dugout with friends until you’re ready to knock the demon out of the park.”
