Anita Williams has been writing for over thirty years, and, during this time, has been carefully crafting stories and poems into the treasures we enjoy today. Growing up in a family of book lovers charged her with an exceptional loyalty to the written word. She loves books! Books across many genres, from her early years reading Rudyard Kipling's poetry and stories to today's preferences such as Victoria Hislop. With a passion for creativity and a desire to bring pleasure to her readers, she believes that life should be appreciated to the full, and it is not unusual to find her outdoors. If my writer's block comes whilst penning a paragraph from my latest novel, I will sometimes go for a walk to gain inspiration, or I may switch momentarily to poetry! I find poetry stimulates the mind. A short burst of thought on a chosen subject can help keep my brain cells sharp! It's a bit like doing a physical workout to make your body feel good. The best thing is the constant venture into the unknown entity of my imagination. Whilst I can map out a story with a beginning, middle and end, I rarely stick to this....and it is true to say that most of my poems are overhauled at least three times before they go to print. I love the way that there is no rigid agenda with a writer's life. We can simply be who we want to be, and sharing bursts of imagination with an audience of loyal readers is truly rewarding.(less)
