As a lifelong Jonny Quest fan I decided to give this a shot, if only for the gorgeous variant cover by Steve Rude. I’m skeptical of the series’ premise that unites all of Hanna-Barbera’s ‘60s adventure cartoons (when will this mania for shared universes end?), but I was happy to discover this first issue ably recaptures the spirit of the original Jonny Quest series (and not the misguided 1990s relaunch).
