Four things you didn’t know about Taber, Thorben, and Kallie from Tigress for Two. Tigress for Two is the third book in the Alaskan Tigers series.
1. Taber’s fascination with honey has kinky sex ideas running through his head.
2. Kallie is terrified to have children (you’ll have to read Tigress for Two to find out why), but you will see her again in the future and it’s likely she’ll be pregnant/have a child.
3. Thorben had a wild streak that Taber didn’t approve of while is what caused the tension between them. You’ll hear more about his wild streak as well as pranks he pulled in an upcoming book.
4. The unconventional mating in Tigress for Two between Kallie and the twins was unplanned. It was plotted and outlined as Taber and Kallie’s story, but when Thorben showed up he threw a wrench in my plans. I fought it at first, at one point even considered cutting Thorben out completely but the book stalled until I went with what Thorben demanded. Overall I’m extremely happy with how it turned out.
Born and raised in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, Marissa Dobson now resides about an hour from Washington, D.C. She’s a lady who likes to keep busy, and is always busy doing something. With two different college degrees, she believes you are never done learning.
Being the first daughter to an avid reader, this gave her the advantage of learning to read at a young age. Since learning to read she has always had her nose in a book. It wasn’t until she was a teenager that she started writing down the stories she came up with.
Marissa is blessed with a wonderful supportive husband, Thomas. He’s her other half and allows her to stay home and pursue her writing. He puts up with all her quirks and listens to her brainstorm in the middle of the night.
Her writing buddies Max (a cocker spaniel) and Dawne (a beagle mix) are always around to listen to her bounce ideas off them. They might not be able to answer, but they’re helpful in their own ways. She love to hear from readers so send her an email at marissa@marissadobson.com or visit her online at http://www.marissadobson.comWebsite - http://marissadobson.com

Please welcome Author T.M. Smith (Tams) onto the Road to Hell. Smith is the author of Opposites, a majorly M/M novel with a touch of F/F and M/F added to the mix. Opposites is the first book in a series. Book 2, Appearances will be out late 2013. In the interim Smith is working on a novella set within the world of Opposites, The Library.
Now, it’s time to create a little hell and get to the good stuff by revealing all of Smith’s wicked secrets while on the Road to Hell. LOL  Yeah, you wish! ;-D
Grab your favorite drink, sink your teeth into something decadent, sit back, relax and enjoy getting to know Tams …

GRACEN:  Tell me three things about yourself that we cannot find on the Internet or in your bio?
Tams: I’m a hopeless romantic! I think bacon should have its own food group.

GRACEN: I think coffee should have its own food group, so I’m totally feeling you with the bacon. And who doesn’t like bacon? Lol What hobbies and interests do you participate in when you’re not writing?
Tams: I like to travel and I have a close knit group of friends that are scattered across the country. We go to Jazz Fest in NOLA every year, and spend New Years together in a different location every year. Reading is my main “hobby” though, I have read as many as ten book in a week’s time.

GRACEN: OMG! I looooooove NOLA and visit as often as I can. Do you have any writing quirks or certain things you MUST have or do before beginning the writing process?
Tams: Music. Music is a huge factor in my writing process. I have characters that play the piano, violin and flute so I listen to a lot of instrumental songs to get in the mind set sometimes. I’ve written scenes around songs as well. I also seem to get my creative juices flowing better when I have a mimosa in hand.

GRACEN: If you were plotting to take over the world, how would you do it?
Tams: I’d create an army of paranormal creatures that I could control that would then wreak havoc on the populous.

GRACEN: If you could make one statement that the entire planet would hear and remember, what would it be?
Tams: Do not judge that which you don’t understand.

GRACEN: Fantastic advice! What genre do you write and why that genre?
Tams: Adult/ M/M / Dystopian. I love dystopian style novels. The idea of this is what our world could become fascinates me, and there are so many different versions and concepts out there now. The Divergent trilogy, The Delirium trilogy, Star Wars, Star Trek, Dune and The Hunger Games are my very favorite dystopian series. My guilty pleasure when reading is M/M novels so I decided to merge the two and write an Adult M/M dystopian novel. M/M is moving to the fore front in the written world as of late and it’s a fresh, new genre that has a lot of wiggle room as well as room for growth.

GRACEN: I love books and movies about the future too. As you said, it’s fascinating to imagine what our future will be like. For those who are not yet familiar with Opposites, can you please give us some details about the book and/or series?
SMITH: Opposites is set in the year 2300 in a dystopian-esqe society where being gay or lesbian is the norm. To be straight, in a relationship with someone of the opposite sex, makes you an Outkast. Over 200 years ago our planet finally succumbed to global warming, when the dust settled the man with the most power and influence still alive was also gay. He rebuilt our world on his terms, and it worked, until now.
The tagline for the book is ‘Nature versus Nurture’.. where there is a will, there is a way. And the one thing you can’t take from people ultimately is just that, free will. But when this way of life is all you’ve ever known it’s hard to imagine a past where everything was opposite. And how do you move forward, progress, when your beliefs are challenged?
GRACEN:  Do you have any new stories in the works and can you tell us a bit about it/them?
SMITH: I’m currently working on a novella for the series, The Library. When I was editing Opposites some scenes had to be removed. If they didn’t advance the story or they were just sex on the page I removed them. I didn’t want to write fifty shades of gay! There is a scene in the book that happens in the library and its cut short because it was just this type of scene. So, I decided to spruce it up and release it as a free novella along with a few other scenes that were cut, elaborate on them at the same time.
Once I’ve finished The Library I’ll start on Appearances so I can get that out there for fans, I did leave you guys with a cliff hanger. Then I have an idea for a gay angel love triangle story. The idea for this book is what if Lucifer was cast out of heaven because he went crazy in the aftermath of a broken heart? Lucifer and the arch angel Michael were lovers, until Gabriel came along. Hell hath no fury like a gay angel that has been scorned! Working title is “When Lucifer Fell’.
GRACEN: I love the concept! And your readers will love it as well. If you could describe your writing with one word or brief phrase, what would it be? Please delve into the core of your writing to tell us what word or phrase you want readers to take with them when they’ve finished reading your story.
Tams: One word, Diversity. Brief phrase, Love is Love. It knows no gender and doesn’t conform to restrictions and boundaries. GRACEN: I believe love is love and I wish all my gay friends and family lived in that type of loving world. What, in your opinion, makes your story unique and what makes it stand out from other stories in your genre? Think of this as a pitch to convince readers to pick up your books.Tams: I think I’m the first to write a dystopian M/M novel. As well, my concept of our world being turned upside down with gay/lesbian being the norm will intrigue people as it’s something fresh and new to the genre. Ultimately Opposites is story about falling in love, being true to yourself and being accepting of someone that is different.
GRACEN: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done in the name of research?
Tams: I’ve watched a lot of gay porn.
GRACEN: Of all your books, which character did you have the most fun creating and why?
Tams: So far my favorite creations is Maeve. She is a warrior and fiercely loyal to her family and Aiya. I loved the idea of creating a strong yet feminine lesbian character. Her weapon of choice is a ball and chain, she is one of the most adept fighters in the series and yes, she likes girls. She is who she is and she will never apologize for it. I also enjoyed the twist on soul mates I created with Maeve and Aiya, they really are soul mates they just aren’t lovers. There is a lot of my best friend Ann in Maeve, she is my tribute to the friendship and love that her and I have for each other, the bond that can never be broken regardless. Husband, wives, lovers and children may come and go.. but your best friend will be with you forever. GRACEN: If you had the opportunity to meet just one of your characters in real life, who would it be and why?
Tams: Sawyer, hands down! In this world I’ve created that revolves around gay/lesbian coupling and laws that only apply to same sex couples, here comes Sawyer. He’s straight and his adopted family are supportive of it. To spite the fact that they are Ambassador’s put into their positions of power to uphold the laws of same sex only couples.
I wrote an early description of Sawyer and went back and changed that description to fit actor Max Irons. Everything about Max just exudes power, strength and stability. He has the blonde hair and green eyes I wanted in Sawyer and he’s really tall, I have an unnatural issue with height, I like tall men and I wanted Sawyer to be tall with a defined facial structure hair the color of wheat and eyes that shined like emeralds.
I think it would be fascinating to meet this man that challenges everything the world stands on, everything it’s built around and not only that, to fall in love with the girl that is meant to rule this world with a wife by her side not a husband.
GRACEN: Which of your characters would you never want to meet under any circumstance and why?
Tams: Marcus! You just get a brief glimpse of Marcus in Opposites, but he is going to be front and center in Appearances and he is just ever so slightly bat shit crazy! Most people are going to assume Cillian, better known as Gorilla man, would be my answer, but he’s not. Cillian is a product of society and the text book definition of ‘children learn what they live’. Marcus is just warped and he’s going to leave some bodies in his wake. GRACEN:  If you were interviewing yourself, what is the one question you would ask yourself and please give us the answer to that question?
Tams: My favorite question to ask authors is, Who in your life would you say has influenced you the most and why.My mother. She is my rock, my friend, my most trusted confidant and ever loyal supporter. She is always there for me even when I’m wrong. Unconditional love is what she’s shown me my entire life and taught me as well.

GRACEN:  Aww…what a sweet plug for your mother. Mom’s rock!! Thanks so much for joining us, Tams!  It’s been a treat getting to know you better!

BLURB:
In the year 2081 our planet survived global warming of an apocalyptic scale. When the dust settled and the water receded Dr. Anthony Smith, one of only a few hundred survivors of GWI, started society anew. Having come to the conclusion that injudicious breeding played a huge role in the destruction of Earth as we knew it in the twenty first century, he worked closely with other survivors to isolate the Dionysus gene. This gene has the ability to manipulate human DNA to ensure that all male children be born gay, and all female children be born lesbians. A new society is born.

In the year 2300 Dr. Smith’s descendants are ushering in the twenty fourth century having maintained control of the government that still rules society. Twins Aiya and Aiyan are preparing to meet their matches and take control of House Gaeland, the current ruling House. But not everything is as it seems.

Love is Love.. it knows no gender and doesn’t conform to restrictions and boundaries. Aiyan has found his soul mate in Kaden, the prince of House Devi that he is matched with and eventually marries. But when the person Aiya falls in love with tests the boundaries put in place after GWI, all hell breaks loose. And in the midst of one secret unraveling, another will emerge. There is a growing anomaly that threatens to destroy over two hundred years of progression. This anomaly is known as Opposites.

*WARNING* Opposites is a majorly M/M New Adult novel that contains explicit sexual content and relationships between gay, lesbian and straight couples.
EXCERPT:
Aiyan stowed his violin and crossed the room to where Kaden stood by the wine table. Kaden took Aiyan’s hand and led him from the Ball room. “Where are we..” Aiyan’s question was cut off as Kaden pushed him into the dark corner and kissed him, strong and deep. A couple walked past engrossed enough in their conversation not to see the two shadows lurking in the corner.
Kaden took Aiyan’s hand again and walked him down the hall. He knew there was no way he’d make it back to their room, hell, he wanted to throw him down right here in the hall and fuck him until he screamed and to hell with anybody that protested. He saw the supply closet up ahead and veered that way. “Kaden, love, where are we going?“ He pushed Aiyan into the closet, up against the shelf and slammed the door, he practically jumped on him pinning him against the shelf and lifting him up, effectively wrapping both legs around his waist. Aiyan had grabbed the support beams holding the shelf up, eyes wide and glowing with anticipation, his crooked smile that drove Kaden crazy was on display. He knew exactly what was coming and he pulled Kaden closer with his legs as he kissed him again, it was a strong fierce kiss and he tore at his bottom lip with his teeth. Aiyan moaned into the kiss as Kaden began stroking him with one hand while pulling his own pants down with his other.
“Oh, goddamn.” Aiyan muttered when Kaden moved his hand down to wet him with the moisture he’d received in thanks for the stroking, he breached Aiyan with one finger then two and Aiyan gasped. Removing his fingers he fisted his own straining cock and then stroked himself a few times, using the precome as a harsh lubricant. Aiyan tried to pull him closer again and he growled at him, Aiyan chuckled and stopped. Kaden grabbed his hips and slowly drove into him all the way with the first long, slow thrust, Aiyan’s knuckles were white from the death grip he had on the beams. His moans grew louder with each thrust and Kaden had to kiss him again to shut him up, as he pounded into him things began falling off the shelves but they didn’t care. Starring into each other’s eyes, Aiyan could see Kadens jaw clenching and he could feel his fingers digging into his hips, he pushed back on him just as hard as he was driving into him. One last push into his ass delivered with so much force the shelf cracked, Aiyan grabbed him by the hair and pulled his mouth to his, Kaden screaming into his lips as he came so hard, it took his breath away.

Please welcome Author Chamera Sampson onto the Road to Hell. Chamera is the author of In My Face. Other books written by Chamera Sampson are The Struggle of Me and Dreams, Smiles, and Bloody Tears. Now, it’s time to create a little hell and get to the good stuff by revealing all of Chamera’s wicked secrets while on the Road to Hell. LOL. Yeah, you wish! ;-D
Grab your favorite drink, sink your teeth into something decadent, sit back, relax and enjoy getting to know Chamera…

***
GRACEN:  Tell me three things about yourself that we cannot find on the internet or in your bio?
Chamera: Well, most noticeable is the fact that I talk really fast. I just can’t help it. I can slow down but it takes an extreme amount of effort. Secondly, I am in love with Reese’s. It’s a love that I doubt will ever fade. Lastly, I have been reading a lot of smut lately. Don’t judge me. Who doesn’t love some sexy book boyfriends? ;)
GRACEN: What hobbies and interests do you participate in when you’re not writing?
Chamera: When I’m not writing, my main hobby is reading. I read a lot of YA and contemporary NA books for review on my blog Mera’s YA Book List. I am OBSESSED with movies, I love to skate, I draw when I’m bored, and I play Dance Central on Kinect almost everyday.

GRACEN: Do you have any writing quirks or certain things you MUST have or do before beginning the writing process?
Chamera: Most definitely. Mainly, I have to be either alone or around people that I don’t know. My best writing happens that way. Also, I also have either a warm cup of coffee or tea with me. Occasionally, I’ll go to places I’ve never been before, alone, and I’ll immerse myself in my story.

As for quirks, I almost always write my entire story out by hand. That means lots of typing the same story over, and it’s time consuming, but one good thing about it is that it makes editing a lot easier. I tend the edit the story as I type it up from ink and paper to the computer.

GRACEN: If you were plotting to take over the world, how would you do it?
Chamera: I’m not really a take over the world kind of girl, at least not in the traditional sense. I’m more of a bring the world together chick. BUT, if I were to plot a grand scheme to take over the world, I would use my words and lots of coffee. I’m pretty sure the whole scheme would be for the sole purpose of getting my books, recent and future, available in every corner of the world and having everyone and I mean, everyone, interested in them. Behind my sweet smile, there is a muffled maniacal laughter.

GRACEN: If you could make one statement that the entire planet would hear and remember, what would it be?
Chamera: In this world, there are people at every corner who will see fit to tear you down. Don’t fall for the games of the snakes in the grass. Follow your dreams and let NO ONE bring you down. If they try, laugh in their faces and get the hell back up.

GRACEN:  What genre do you write and why that genre?
Chamera: I write in many genres. Mainly, I identify myself as a contemporary writer of young adult and new adult books. But I write also write general, YA, and adult poetry. I write paranormal. I also write action-adventure. I don’t like to categorize myself and stick myself into a box. Why should I? There’s more than one side to me and that reflects in my writing.

GRACEN: For those who are not yet familiar with Chamera Sampson, can you please give us some details about the book and/or series?
Chamera: Of course I can! Firstly, my latest release is a young adult novella entitled In My Face. It’s really about a girl, Tatianna coming into herself, figuring out what love means, and learning not to take any crap off of anyone, especially a guy. She also learns not to judge a book by its cover, but in this case that book happens to be a sexy, Italian guy with a love for flirting and ice cream. My obsession with ice cream is evident in this novella. There will be two more novellas in this series- one about Tatianna’s best friend, Shanna, who we meet in In My Face. I’m not certain who the last one will be about yet, but it’ll either be Mark, who is a central character from In My Face, or a character from Shanna’s story.

I also released novella, The Struggle of Me, under the group name Write to Read, which a group of fantastic writers. It’s unique in the fact that it’s one singular novella, yet it was written by several different people. I’m ecstatic for the progress it’s made and the reviews we’ve garnered. All proceeds go to charity and it’s available for only $.99 cents on Amazon.
Also released is my poetry collection, Dreams, Smiles, and Bloody Tears. It was my first release and I’m proud of it. Most people get really emotional when reading the short story at the back of the book, and it’s horrible but I smile a little every time someone tells me they cried while reading it.
GRACEN:  Do you have any new stories in the works and can you tell us a bit about it/them?
Chamera: There are too many stories in the works right now. I just can’t seem to help myself. However, the ones closest to completion are Inked and Wanted.

Inked is the story of a sheltered college girl on break from school and what could be called her “wild phase”. It’s a sexy romance with a dash of paranormalcy underlying the entire novel, and a bit of suspense. Honestly, the events of the story are shadowed by a bit of creepiness, and it all starts out with a drawing and a tattoo. Technically, it would be categorized as NA. I’ve been writing on this for a year now and the writing has really picked up.

Wanted is a paranormal, action novel, also technically NA, and it is my first time writing an entire novel from a male’s perspective. Michael, the main character, is my most outspoken male character yet and he has some sexy powers. He’s been shelved and then focused on, over and over again over the last two years, and it’s his time to shine.

There is so many more but these two are slated to be the first to be released, both by late 2013, early 2014.

GRACEN: If you could describe your writing with one word or brief phrase, what would it be? Please delve into the core of your writing to tell us what word or phrase you want readers to take with them when they’ve finished reading your story.
Chamera: Self-exploratory.

That would be the word I’d use for everything I write. I want the readers to explore what their lives mean. I want them to explore their emotions. I want them to delve into the folds of themselves and figure out what’s at the core. No matter what genre I write in, my main characters end up exploring the truths of themselves, and I want these characters to inspire the readers to do the same.

GRACEN: What, in your opinion, makes your story unique and what makes it stand out from other stories in your genre? Think of this as a pitch to convince readers to pick up your books.
Chamera: My stories all have a positive message rooted in their core, and they are all diverse, real characters. In a lot of YA books, the characters feel unauthentic, and unrelated-able. If my characters are anything, they are relatable. They are engaging. In NA, many authors have begun to use the acceptability of sexual scenes as a way to draw in those readers who are in that age range and want to read sex scenes about people their age. That isn’t what NA is. Those story’s have their place in the erotica section, which I admitted earlier that I love to read. It’s about self-discovery, and overcoming problems, and finding yourself at the age where all seems lost. NA can have a lot of angst, but we at that age are angst-y people. I would know as I am just 21, and as lost as anyone else my age. I love the new genre though and I applaud all authors who write in the genre without abusing it.
GRACEN: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done in the name of research?
Chamera: Must I tell you? Okay, okay. I’d do almost anything “in the name of research”, unless it’s super illegal or just bad for you and I often do things and use “research” as an excuse.

I’ve flirted with a guy I had a hard time talking to without the awkwardness, because I wanted my character to break loose and do the same. He didn’t seem to mind.

Weirdest though would have to be “the food test”. It became very reminiscent of the scene in 21 Again when Zac Efron in all of his sexiness, ate all of that disgusting food.
I won’t tell you exactly what I ate, but it involved easy cheese, chocolate syrup, cheez-its, deli meat, mustard, tea, and tuna among other items.

I ended up nixing the scene from my story though, but I can say I’ve done it.

I actually have a list of things I want to “research”, but too many of them need a guy to help so I’ll mournfully have to wait until I find the right one. Someone who can handle my crazy, lol. ;p

GRACEN: Of all your books, which character did you have the most fun creating and why?
Chamera: Ah, this is such a hard question! It’s definitely between Bug from my released In My Face, and Lizzie from my upcoming Inked. Bug knows what he wants and goes for it, and he doesn’t hold his tongue.  Lizzie could make a head whip in seconds flat. The girl goes from tame to crazy and I love every second of it.
GRACEN: If you had the opportunity to meet just one of your characters in real life, who would it be and why?
Chamera: I think it would be the character Justin from a WIP I am only five chapters into, but before he meets his female lead. He’s just pure sexiness, he loves to dance, and he’s an awesome kisser. A little naughty, I know, but a girl can dream right?
Bug is pretty sexy too and I could imagine some ice cream and kissing related fun, but he’s just a couple of years too young for me at 18.

And yes, most of my male characters, are also my book boyfriends.GRACEN: Which of your characters would you never want to meet under any circumstance and why?
Chamera: Definitely Lizzie, but during her “dark phase”, something you guys will have to wait for. Lizzie during her dark phase is dangerous. Really dangerous. No thank you, Lizzie.
GRACEN:  If you were interviewing yourself, what is the one question you would ask yourself and please give us the answer to that question?
Chamera: Toughie, but I think that question would be, “What inspired you to publish?”

The answer would be, I wanted to share my love for writing with the world. I want to share myself, my feelings, my crazy fantasies, and my experiences with others. It makes my world shine, and without it I couldn’t imagine anything but the mundane.

GRACEN:  Thanks so much for joining us, Chamera!  It’s been a treat getting to know you better!

Chamera: Of course! Thanks for having me Gracen! Hopefully, I didn’t scare any of your readers away, lol!  J

IN MY FACE BLURB:

For Tatianna, summer meant ice cream, day dreaming, and countless hours of Pablo Neruda. She never meant to meet Mark, and she definitely didn't expect to fall in love.

But when she meets the cute and alluring boy in front of her favorite ice cream truck, her idea of summer, boys, and love swiftly melts away.

As school starts and summer steadily fades, Tatianna must ask herself several questions. The most important one: Is Mark the guy meant for her, or has there been someone in her face all along?
EXCERPT:

I looked up and closed the note. “Did you really mean that?”

“Tati,” he whispered, his voice gravelly with sleep and conviction. “I meant every word written on every note.”

I stared at him as a heavy silence pressed against us. Then, I stared at him some more.

I grasped his hands in mine and let my hands slowly travel up his forearms. I watched his skin as my fingers traced their way up his arms, to his broad shoulders, then down to his bare chest.

His eyes closed and he sucked in a deep breath.

“Your hands are cold,” he whispered.

“I don’t care,” I said back, abandoning my chair for his lap. I pulled off my sweater and tossed it on the table, happy I’d left my tank top on underneath it.

“I don’t care either,” he said back. I sat, gripping the hard skin of his back as he leaned into me. His lips ghosted across mine, and then we were kissing. I could feel the warmth of his chest against me, taste the sweet tartness of the few sips of orange juice he’d consumed, hear his moans as he pressed his tongue into my mouth.

I’d never been kissed like this, with so much passion, longing.

I broke away from his kiss with a gasp. As I sat, straddling him, I realized that Mark had valid reason to be jealous of Bug all along, from the beginning, that day when we first met outside of the ice cream truck.

I hadn’t known it then, but I’d been slowly falling for Bug way before I even knew Mark.

“How could a person go so long without knowing that they loved something that was right in their face?”

Blurb
There's always the one…

He's one person throughout life you think about every so often, the one who leaves his unique indelible mark on you, the person with whom you need closure.
For Margaret Collins that person was Mike Taylor. After he broke her heart seventeen years ago, she left everything she knew and reinvented herself. With a new home, a new look and a new name, Riley Williams is now an up and coming journalist given the assignment to interview a Mike Taylor. She never suspected he would be her Mike Taylor.
With Mike having no hint of Riley's true identity, she must decide if she will make him pay for sins he doesn't remember committing, or if she can wipe away the past and be with the one man who she has always wanted?
Can she finally have closure?

Excerpt
"Are you worried I'm going to get something wrong?" Without him knowing, they slipped back into their old banter. She reached into her bag, found a pad and pen and held them up. "Do you feel better now?"
"Yes, different." He pressed his back against the chair. "A challenge." His smile let the tooth peek out, while seventeen years caused the little wrinkle at corner of his eye to appear. "You know, I have some meetings here the rest of this week."
"Should I be writing this down?" She clicked the pen twice, trying to stop herself from reading more into this.
"Not unless you're writing down your address so I know where to pick you up for dinner tomorrow night."
Everything stopped. Even if only in her mind, for that second the world froze. The constant clink of dishes ceased, the bustling wait staff stood motionless.
Back in the school hallway when he had invited her out, he used a similar assumptive close. He turned to her and asked what time he should get her Friday night.
Though the years had diminished the pain, to this day every now and again, she wondered what would have happened if took her out rather than succumbing to the pressure of his friends and parents. She'd been nothing but a project when she wanted to be a girl.
Here together, they repeated history, but not in his eyes. She couldn't blame him for not knowing her. She'd changed her name, changed her looks, but never managed to change her heart.
She always wondered.
Maybe she always wished.
Was she handed another chance to get her heart ripped to shreds, or had she just received the ultimate do-over?

Please welcome Author Avery Olive onto the Road to Hell. Avery is the author of A Stiff Kiss. Other books written by Avery are Won't Let Go, TBR Oct 2013
Now, it’s time to create a little hell and get to the good stuff by revealing all of Avery’s wicked secrets while on the Road to Hell. LOL  Yeah, you wish! ;-D
Grab your favorite drink, sink your teeth into something decadent, sit back, relax and enjoy getting to know Avery…

~ ~ ~
GRACEN:  Tell me three things about yourself that we cannot find on the internet or in your bio?
Avery: This is tough. I usually try to be fairly open. Um. I hate peas, with a passion. When I was like 5, the ice cream truck came down my street... I ran after it, only wearing my underwear. I have the weakest stomach in the world, just talking about something gross makes me want to throw up... and usually, I do.
GRACEN: What hobbies and interests do you participate in when you’re not writing?
Avery: I read. A lot. Like, almost an unhealthy amount. I like to bake and cook, and I think I'm pretty good at it. No one complains and I've never made anyone sick. That's probably a good thing. I camp in the summer with Mr. Olive and my son. I don't have the heart to tell them that most of the time, I hate it, though. Shh... don't tell anyone.

GRACEN: Do you have any writing quirks or certain things you MUST have or do before beginning the writing process?
Avery: Sitting down to write usually involves cracking open a can of Cherry Dr. Pepper. I'm addicted to that stuff. I drink it like I should probably drink water. I chew a ton of gum, any flavour, and most of the time, I like to have music in the background. Not really quirks, but things I need in order to get the creative juices flowing.

GRACEN: If you were plotting to take over the world, how would you do it?
Avery: OMG... How did you know? I thought I was being all secretive about my plans for world domination. I mean... Um. So, hypothetically speaking, of course, it probably would involve some secret identities, weapons, maybe, and some crafty political espionage. I really don't want to go into detail, I mean, you just never know who's out there, reading this stuff, right?

GRACEN: If you could make one statement that the entire planet would hear and remember, what would it be?
Avery: You're all about the tough questions, aren't you? Probably something about me being awesome? Oh, and recycle. It's good for the environment.

GRACEN:  What genre do you write and why that genre?
Avery: I write Young Adult, ranging from romance, to paranormal to fantasy... And why? Because I never want to grow up, and feel I have this sick fascination with re-living my younger years. And because I make stuff up, I get to write about all the things I wish would have happened.

GRACEN: For those who are not yet familiar with A Stiff Kiss, can you please give us some details about the book and/or series?
Avery: A Stiff Kiss is a twist, of sorts, on an old classic, Sleeping Beauty, with a slightly morbid take and in reverse. There's a bit of everything in there from romance, to some taboo subjects to a certain level of coming of age. I tried to really write something that would appeal to the masses.

GRACEN:  Do you have any new stories in the works and can you tell us a bit about it/them?
Avery: Well, Won't Let Go, is a form of a ghost story, also with a few twists. Since the cover and blurb hasn't been officially revealed yet, I don't want to say much... My agent, Kris, lovely gal, is trying to sell a novel that's got some hottie aliens, tattoo parlors and romance, but who knows what will happen with that. And hmm.. everything else is still under lock and key as they say. I tend to not want to spill the beans about WIP's. I'm always afraid I'll jinx something and it'll never get finished.

GRACEN: If you could describe your writing with one word or brief phrase, what would it be? Please delve into the core of your writing to tell us what word or phrase you want readers to take with them when they’ve finished reading your story.
Avery: Um. Again with the hard questions. Satisfaction. Maybe. I really want all readers to be satisfied with my novels and I want them to be able to take something away from it.

GRACEN: What, in your opinion, makes your story unique and what makes it stand out from other stories in your genre? Think of this as a pitch to convince readers to pick up your books.
Avery: Well, I think it's taken an age old story that I've breathed new life into (for the characters, literally) Hmm.... I didn't know I was going to have to write a pitch! lol
GRACEN: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done in the name of research?
Avery: Sadly, I haven't done much. I did spend an unhealthy amount of time researching way people can die, and ways that they can come back to life. I picked the realistic form, called Lazarus Syndrome which seems to bring people back from the dead, occasionally.
GRACEN: Of all your books, which character did you have the most fun creating and why?
Avery: I think picking a favourite character is like trying to pick a favourite child, or relative. It's virtually impossible. Each character has their own special place in my heart!
GRACEN: If you had the opportunity to meet just one of your characters in real life, who would it be and why?
Avery: Okay, wow, um... I'd say Quill Colburn, he from the novel my agent is trying to sell, and I choose him because he's an alien. He's got the most interesting life and abilities. All my other characters are human, and well, I can meet a human whenever I want :)
GRACEN: Which of your characters would you never want to meet under any circumstance and why?
Avery: I don't want to give any spoilers but perhaps the antagonists from A Stiff Kiss, they have the ability to decide who lives and who dies, they are vindictive, scary and well, they don't have much of a heart. They'd use my love against me, I'm sure.
GRACEN:  If you were interviewing yourself, what is the one question you would ask yourself and please give us the answer to that question?
Avery: Question: Why does it seem like you're fascinated with sticking to fantasy/paranormal genres? When are going to write something contemporary?
Answer: I get asked these questions a lot, since a few of my readers know that most everything I've written is part of the same genre type. The answer is simple, because I can create the world how I want. There are tons of "rules" that can bend because I've added supernatural, paranormal or fantasy elements. I like to break the mold and stretch the truth a little further. And will I ever right a straight up contemporary romance? *winks* I may just be working on something like that now. I find it hard though because you've got to play by the rules and everything has to be accurate and very realistic.

GRACEN:  Thanks so much for joining us, Avery!  It’s been a treat getting to know you better!

BLURB: Who knew kissing a corpse would change everything?

Death always hits Xylia Morana too close to home, but she likes it that way. She hangs out with the terminally ill, attends random funerals, and every so often, when the weather is right, she sleeps in open graves.

But after Landon Phoenix, the high school hottie, dies in Xylia's arms, she sneaks into the morgue to say goodbye. How could she know stealing a kiss from his corpse would wake him up?

With Landon returned to the living and suddenly interested in Xylia, life has new meaning. But what Xylia doesn't realize is that by kissing Landon back to life, she's thrown Life and Death off balance. The underworld demands a body, and it might just have to be Xylia's this time.

EXCERPT: No way should I be in the morgue. If I'm caught, I'll lose my job. My dad will probably get fired, too. He's been warned to keep me out of here.
The walls are lined with thick, square doors, clearly marked with numbers. I stop in front of the one I want. In the middle of that wall, at waist height, is number twelve. Beyond the door, lying on a sliding metal table, is the body of Landon Phoenix.
I've always had a crush on Landon, ever since freshman year when his family moved to Silver Springs. I've watched him grow into his looks, no longer a gangly boy with braces. And I've longed to hear my name roll off his tongue in that deep voice of his. To press my lips against his as he holds me in a tight embrace. To share the same air as him.
Though now, all those things are impossible. Except one. I can pull open the door, slide the table out, and at least for a moment I can share the same air, even though his lungs can no longer pull in that air.
I hesitate, my hand on the handle. Besides my mother, this will be the only other person who's died that I've really known. The others have just been people, random ones at that. The guy from the grocery store who jumped off Whibley Bridge into the icy waters below, the occasional patient of mine who'd succumbed to old age, and many, many others. But this is personal. This is someone I'd known. Or at least, someone I'd held secretly in my heart.
But I need to say goodbye.

Excerpt from Forever Winter
Camden drew her into his arms and brushed his lips across her hairline. “I make my own luck.” He blew softly in her ear. She shivered in response. “We control our destiny, Susanna, no one else. Besides, you have nothing to worry about. The one activity we shared truly worth gossiping about will never reach the light of day.” Her face flamed even hotter. Air escaped her lungs in short, choppy gasps as she remembered the way he touched and fondled her for hours. That wonderful activity made her feel as if she was the most cherished woman in the entire world. She despised double standards, as did Camden, but because her good name and reputation needed to remain protected in all areas, especially in high society gossip circles, they refused to make love again until their wedding night. But now, with her wedding possibly postponed, she glanced at the open doorway one last time and pushed it from her mind. She embraced Camden with all her strength. She was so tired of denying the wondrous craving that pooled in her stomach when he was near. Kissing him as if her life depended on it, she felt his breath entered her mouth and traveled deep into her lungs. She tasted his strong, rich essence and nearly melted. Trailing her hands up the back of his neck, she pulled free the ribbon pinning his long hair respectably to his nape and buried her hands in the dark silk. His embrace soothed the anger, worry and misery burning inside her. Camden responded with equal fervor. He clasped the narrow dip of her waist and massaged firm flesh sheathed beneath layers of restricting peach-patterned fabric. He growled low in his throat and bent at the knees to reach the lacy hem of her day dress. Lifting several layers of skirt to grasp her thigh, he silenced her shocked moan by deepening the kiss. Her warm skin flared hot beneath his exploration. He trailed his hand higher until Susanna finally broke free from their intense kiss and twisted free of his smoldering embrace. She stumbled back and braced herself against the sofa. She felt deliciously exposed and wanton beneath his yearning gaze. Breathing heavily, blushing scarlet, Susanna scowled at her fiancé but couldn’t find the desire to reprimand him. He rarely touched her like that. She loved when he did. With any luck, after tonight, they wouldn’t have to restrain themselves any more.
Forever Winter Blurb
After two disastrous London seasons, Susanna Lorican received a marriage proposal from a neighborhood friend, an esteemed Viscount, which saved her family from society gossip. She had adored him since childhood but never expected the man of her dreams to reciprocate the feelings. Susanna soon planned the perfect Christmas Eve wedding but never expected a snowstorm to barrel through the English countryside on the morning of the nuptials. Viscount Camden Beckinworth had lived the life of a devil-may-care rake until his parents’ premature death five years earlier. Returning home to save the crumbling family business, he cast aside his personal life and buried himself in his parents’ finances, focusing on nothing but honoring his family name. Once he decided that it was time to take a wife, now that the business thrived, he finally realized that the annoying little sister of his two best childhood friends had grown into a lovely woman. Needing her by his side, he pledged to take the headstrong miss as his wife. Susanna and Camden vowed to let nothing thwart their long-awaited day, even though icy roads delayed the dress and several guests. But when the reverend fell from his horse and injured his head, they had little choice but to postpone. To worsen matters, Susanna’s insufferable brother-in-law cornered and then assaulted her in the library. Despite their trials and tribulations, the young couple never wavered from their goal: marriage and a long life together. After all, happily ever after came only once in a lifetime.

About the Author
So… you want a little more information about me? Hmmm, what to say? There’s just so much but let’s start with the basics. Books to Go Now reissued by debut novella, Forever Winter, in March of 2013. It is now available on Amazon and Kobo in ebook format. Amazon, Goodreads and Shelfari are great places to read reviews.Bradley Publishing originally published the Regency novella in a Christmas anthology in December of 2012 before closing down a few months later. My mind is a wonderland of romance, laughter and awesome ways of kicking a guy when he’s down. Writing is my passion and I probably wouldn’t be too sane without it. After all, what’s a girl to do when there are people jabbering away in her head and there’s no way to shut them up? Write! That’s the only answer I found that works. I live in the lovely foothills of North Carolina with my supportive husband and our five fuzzy, little ninjas. Aka: our kitties! I work in retail but I’d love to write full-time someday. My hobbies include hiking, gardening, reading (of course!), scrapbooking, and watching movies or TV shows with my much-used Netflix account.

Runaway Groom is the first book in my Watkin’s Pond series and I’m super happy to have the cover to share with everyone. So, for the cover reveal… *drumroll please*

About the BookOn Sale: January 2014 The runaway groom is back in town.
Abigail Robinson knew one day she might have to face the man who ditched her at the altar like a loaf of stale bread. She never imagined that he would blaze into town determined to win her back.
His bride-to-be is somewhat reluctant.
Braxton Dean wasn’t sure he could be the man Abby needed when the time came to walk down the aisle. Scared, he ran for years when all he really wanted was to run right back to her arms.
It might take a whole town to make this wedding happen.
With the help of their friends, the two battle it out. The prize? Happily ever after. The army? An entire town of busy bodies. Will Abigail be the one who runs this time? Or will she catch her Runaway Groom?
About the Author Virginia Nelson spends her days chasing three very active kids around.  When she is not doing this, or plotting taking over the world, she likes to write, play in the mud, drive far too fast and scream at inanimate objects.  She can often be found listening to music that is far too loud and typing her next fantastic tale of blood, sex and random acts of ineptitude.  Romance, in Ms. Nelson’s opinion, is not about riding off into the sunset on the back of a horse with the knight in shining armor— it is about riding the dragon.  If the knight can keep up… well, that is love.

GRACEN:  Tell me three things about yourself that we cannot find on the internet or in your bio?
DAMARA: HHHmmmm, something that I don’t mind people knowing???  1 - I once organized a picket line against the local school system…2 - I play the Alto Saxophone, flute and piano…3 - I‘m a ketchup-aholic and I‘m not interested in treatment.

DAMARA: Drawing, 3D Graphic Art, Swimming, Music, and of course reading.

GRACEN: Do you have any writing quirks or certain things you MUST have or do before beginning the writing process?
DAMARA: When I’m writing erotica, I have to write out the basis of the story in a notebook, while naked in bed.

GRACEN: I actually think that’s damned cool! If you were plotting to take over the world, how would you do it?
DAMARA: Now if I tell you, you might tell the people who would stop me… but rest assured, with me running the joint, it’s gonna be a fun ride!

GRACEN: If you could make one statement that the entire planet would hear and remember, what would it be?
DAMARA: A quote I heard in High School, I don’t know who wrote it or spoke it, but it stuck with me…“The world is round, and what seems like the end may just be the beginning…”

GRACEN: Excellent quote. What genre do you write and why that genre?
DAMARA: The main genre I write is Erotic Romance, but I also write Thriller/Suspense. I normally write stories based on weird dreams that I’ve had.

GRACEN: I do the same thing. Most would label them nightmares though. For those who are not yet familiar with Damara Blackthorne, can you please give us some details about the book and/or series?
DAMARA: This book “Hell in a Hand Basket ~ The Journey ~ (which has the potential to become a series), started out being about a naïve girl who meets a man who changes her life forever. But my Editor made some great suggestions, which took the book into a new, and exciting direction.

GRACEN:  Do you have any new stories in the works and can you tell us a bit about it/them?
DAMARA: I do have a few books in the works, mostly Erotic Romances. However, my current main story is about the Four Horsemen, the Apocalypse, and an Angel that was pushed out of Heaven.

GRACEN: If you could describe your writing with one word or brief phrase, what would it be? Please delve into the core of your writing to tell us what word or phrase you want readers to take with them when they’ve finished reading your story.
DAMARA: Keep your mind open, not everything is as it seems.

GRACEN: What, in your opinion, makes your story unique and what makes it stand out from other stories in your genre? Think of this as a pitch to convince readers to pick up your books.
DAMARA: Although this story is mainly about two consenting adults, their lives have roots and consequences that are not easily discerned.

GRACEN: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done in the name of research?
DAMARA: I joined a 3D sex game.

GRACEN: Now I’m intrigued. I need more info on this sex game! Of all your books, which character did you have the most fun creating and why?
DAMARA: Anne - she is in the Four Horsemen book. She is a young girl struggling with her teenage years, while being an outcast at school. She enters college, loses her entire family due to an accident, that she blames herself for, which sends her into an emotional spiral, revealing a very dark secret about herself.
GRACEN: If you had the opportunity to meet just one of your characters in real life, who would it be and why?
DAMARA: That’s tough. I’d love to actually meet them all.  But if I have to chose only one, I’d love to meet… right now, with the books that are out, I’d have to say Ryder… after the edits, he became a very thoughtful and considerate man, someone who would be a great friend, as well as a fabulous romantic interest, not to mention that he‘s damn good in bed.
GRACEN: Which of your characters would you never want to meet under any circumstance and why?
DAMARA: Taryn, she is conniving and manipulative, and she doesn’t care who she hurts as long as she gets her way.
GRACEN:  If you were interviewing yourself, what is the one question you would ask yourself and please give us the answer to that question?
DAMARA: Q ~ Why did it take you (ME) so long to start writing?                   A ~ I never believed I could write, even though I had a strong urge to do so. I had to get past my insecurities, just answer the urge and write.

GRACEN:  Thanks so much for joining us, Damara!  It’s been a treat getting to know you better!
DAMARA:  Thank You Gracen, it’s been a real pleasure being here!

BLURB:   Maeve Bendis is a shy, quiet and sweet girl.
She got into writing Adult Erotica to fill an empty void in her life. She lives out her fantasies through her stories.

Ryder knows he wants more of the lovely Maeve.  He found himself infatuated with her innocence and found the way she reacted to his touch irresistible. Yet he is also a businessman who know that she has so much more inside her and it must be released for her to reach her potential as a writer and for him become more profitable. He decides to keep Maeve close under the role of the businessman helping her find herself through his subtle touch.

EXCERPT:       My breathing had just returned to relative normality when he grabbed my left hand, pulling me from the couch. As I stood up, my skirt billowed around me, caressing my curves as it slid down my hips. Ryder growled. He pulled me into him and kissed me deep as he walked me backwards towards his desk. He spun me around so I was facing his desk. He bent me over and drove me down onto the desk. My breasts were bare and the cold of his desk caused my body to shudder violently. Ryder inched up behind me. He leaned over on top of me and grabbed my wrists. He placed my hands above my head and had me grab the edges of the desk with them. "Keep your hands here. Do not move them unless I tell you to.""Okay." I mumbled. He squatted down, grabbed my ankles and spread my legs apart in a wide stance. "Don't move your feet either. Understood?""Un-huh.""Good girl, Maeve."He ran his hands under my skirt and began to roam them over my ankles. With his hands on my legs, he slowly stood up. He took his sweet time caressing my legs, roaming his hands up my legs and then back down again. Teasing me, taunting me. Up again, grazing the outsides of my thighs and stroking my ass, then he reversed his course and fondled my ass then the outsides of my thighs. On his next trip up he rubbed the insides of my thighs. When he got to my mound he rounded his hands, dipped them forward, and cupped me. He slowly reversed again, barely brushing my inner thighs and calves. My body was quaking from excitement overload. He began another survey up my legs, savoring every inch and in the process he pulled my skirt up over my thighs, then my hips and eventually shoved my skirt up over my backside. He ground his hips into my ass. I could feel his bulge in his jeans. I shuddered and moaned. "Please Ryder.""Please what, Maeve?" His voice was deeper than I had ever heard it before."Please fuck me.""Soon Maeve, soon." He hissed like a cold rain hitting hot gravel. He knelt behind me and ran his hands up and down my long legs over and over, avoiding my mound. He caressed my inner thighs once more, scraping my skin where my core met my legs. I whimpered and my pussy cried yearning for his touch. I tried to push my ass back toward his face but I was held firmly by a strong hand on my ass. "No moving includes that sweet ass of yours." He ground out. "You're just gonna have to wait."I shivered and quaked. Ryder leaned in and started kissing my thigh. Working toward my pussy but never actually touching my warm wet spot, instead he worked all around it and onto my ass. He trailed his tongue on my inner thigh. When he came to my dripping pussy, he ignored it and licked up, exploring my anus. I never thought he would put his tongue there. I was so horny and his tongue felt so good I didn't want him to stop touching me; even there, even with his tongue. He held my ass cheeks apart with both hands and licked my anus one more time, sending lightening through me. He started placing small kisses on the skin surrounding my backdoor. He dipped his tongue into my cunt and snarled. I heard Ryder groan as he stood up, trailing kisses up my backside. "Girl, you just don't know what you're doing to me..." he was panting like he had just run a marathon. He pushed up against me and I could feel his bulge was even bigger than it was before. I heard the sound of foil tearing and his zipper going down. I didn't even have time to brace myself when he slammed into my pussy hard. He ceased moving but only briefly. He hammered into me repeatedly. His thrusts became faster and more primitive. I had to lift up on my toes, force my body to arc and hold my ass out to him so I wouldn't be painfully ground into his desk. The thrill of being taken this way by this man was quickly becoming more than I could bear. I could feel volts of electricity course through my veins, speeding up yet keeping time with Ryder's thrusts. Waves were crashing faster and faster as Ryder pummeled me harder and harder. My knuckles were white from the strain of holding the desk and my toes were starting to cramp up but God this was unbelievably wonderful. He continued to batter my soft flesh with his swollen cock, harder, deeper, faster. I thought I was going to pass out because I was starting to see stars behind my eyes.

“So, you live here now?”“Yes.” She glanced at him then back at the road. “I bought some land outside of Austin.”“Where at?”“Southwest of Lakeway. Where are you calling home?”He fiddled with the door. “Right now, just an apartment down by Buda.”“Is that where your family is? I remember you mentioning something about your mother being a high school teacher in Buda.”Surprise crossed his weary, but still handsome features. “Yeah. I didn’t realize you were paying attention.”“Wyatt, I’ve always paid attention to everything you said.”“Me too, Doc, me too.” He shifted like he was going to touch her, then clenched his hands together in his lap. “So how're ya liking Austin?”“It’s nice.”She glanced over at him and her heartbeat picked up. From the moment she saw him she wanted him but, first, he needed to know some things about her. She wasn’t going to change who she was but, at the same time, she really wanted to get to know Wyatt better. Something about him called to her heart, and to her soul, in a way she hadn’t felt in years.“I found a local club that I go to now and again.”“Really? What club? Maybe I could meet you there sometime.” He cleared his throat and quickly added. “You know, to catch up and stuff.”“It’s called Lila's.” She waited for his reaction, half expecting him to say that yes he did, indeed, know of the BDSM club and went there often. It wouldn’t surprise her one bit to find out that he was a Dom.“Never heard of it.”She licked her lips and decided to go for broke. Life was too short to tip toe around shit. “It’s a BDSM club.”His jaw dropped and he stared at her. It would have been comical if she hadn’t been so unsure of his reaction. “No fucking way.”“Yes fucking way.” She tried to keep her voice cool and measured even though she had a million butterflies dancing around in her belly. “I’m a Domme.”“A what?”“A Mistress…a Dominatrix. Take your pick of titles but that's what I am and what I enjoy.”“No. Fucking. Way.” He sat up straighter. “So...you like to beat the shit out of guys?”“No!” She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself. “No, I do not beat the shit out of guys.” His disbelieving stare made her shake her head. “Well, okay, I only beat them if they ask nicely.”“But isn’t whipping some poor bastard's ass what Dominatrices do? I mean, at least that’s what they do in pornos. Oh God, you don’t want to pee on me do you?” She shot him a dirty look and he grinned. “What?”“If you base your beliefs on how women behave on pornos, then I think I’m very wrong about what kind of man you are.”“Hey now, I was just kidding.” He scrubbed his hand over his face. “I mean, fuck, I never would've thought you were into that kind of kinky shit.”She tapped her finger on the steering wheel as they waited for the light to change. “I am, and if any man wants to be with me, he'd better understand what he’s in for. I’m not going to pretend to be someone I’m not for anyone.”That shut him up and he stared out the window as they drew closer to his apartment building. “I can understand that…but, I mean, I’m not trying to be outta line, and I could be totally misreading this, but I’m not the kind of guy that could let a woman boss him around.”She wanted to point out that she’d done just that while they were over in the sandbox, and that he’d been quite happy following her directions, but she didn’t think that was the right approach. With all of her heart she wanted Wyatt, and was pretty damned sure he wanted her, but she also wanted more than meaningless sex.She wanted a submissive.“Why don’t you research it a little bit. And no, I’m not talking about watching pornos.”He blew out a harsh breath, the scent of alcohol drifting through the air. “Doc, I don’t know what to say.”“I understand.”An uncomfortable silence descended on them, but she wasn’t going to break it by begging him to give being her sub a chance. So what if she still dreamt of him? So what if being this near to him set her body on fire? And, dammit all, so what if she thought there was something special between them? If bottoming for her didn’t turn him on, if it wasn’t something he could learn to appreciate and crave, then their hypothetical relationship would never work.Maybe she was coming on too strong, too desperate. She’d been looking for him for months now and thinking about how good it would be to see him again. She hadn’t taken into account that he might not be adapting to civilian life as well as she had. And his drinking worried her.He leaned forward when they reached the entrance to his apartment complex. “I’m the third building on the left.”She pulled into a spot near the entrance to his unit and put the car into park before turning to him. “Well, here we are.”“Yeah.” He made no move to open the door, but he also wouldn’t look at her.She reached into the back seat and dug around in her purse for a pen and one of her business cards. While writing on the back of it she said, “Here’s my card. My home number and cell are on the back. If you ever need me, call me.”He took it from her, their fingers brushing. For a long moment he didn’t say anything, then he leaned across the seat, his intent obvious. Everything inside of her clenched in anticipation, her need for his touch deep enough to drown in. At the first brush of his lips against hers she trembled. The second pass of his lips was a little bolder, lingering against hers before slanting his head and giving her a kiss that sent a warm cascade of tingles through her body, awakening her senses to him in a decadent rush of lust. She opened her mouth and he groaned, taking advantage of the invitation and meeting her tongue with firm strokes of his own. Unable to help herself, she fisted her hand into his hair, holding him still. God, he was so big, so strong. Here in the confines of her car he seemed to take up most of the space. She thought about what it would be like to rub her body against his muscled frame, to orgasm merely from her flesh sliding against his.Moving back just enough to break their kiss she whispered against his lips, “Hold still. I want to enjoy you.”He did as she asked and she began to slowly devour his mouth, tasting and sucking on his lips, paying attention to his every shift, to the changes in energy coming off his body. Her mind kept stumbling over the fact that this was Callahan, the same man she’d absolutely lusted after but who'd been totally off limits. He groaned when she nipped his lower lip and pulled her into his arms when she sucked on his tongue. Beneath the loose suit jacket his body was still firm, solid muscle, and she ran her hands over him trying to memorize the feel of his form. When his hand went to her waist and began to travel towards her breast, she reluctantly broke their kiss.“Come upstairs with me,” Wyatt urged, his eyes fever-bright with need.Oh, she was sorely tempted to go up there with him, to lose herself in fucking this amazing man, but she wanted more. As hard as it was, she somehow managed to shake her head. “No, Wyatt.”His face fell and he pulled back, reaching for the door. “Yeah, well it’s been goo—”“Wait. I’m not saying no, or that I don’t want you. Right now I could fuck you up one side of the room and down the other, but I want more than that.” She hesitated, then decided to tell him a little bit of the truth.“Something happened a while ago that taught me to live everyday like it's my last and I... fuck, I’m explaining this badly.”He reached across and ran his knuckles down her cheek, his eyes becoming heavy lidded with desire. “Take your time.”“Look, I don’t want just a fuck. I want more, but I don’t know if we could work out long term.” His hurt look cut at her heart and she tried again. “Being a Domme is part of who I am, it’s as much a part of me as my hair or the color of my eyes. I was born this way, and I can’t become something I’m not in order to please someone. I need someone who won’t just be my partner, but will also be my submissive. And I don’t want someone who will fake it. I want someone who craves my dominance.”He closed his eyes and thunked his head back against the seat. “Right now my cock wants me to say whatever I need to in order to get you into my bed, but that wouldn’t be fair to either of us. I don’t know if I can be, you know, like that with you.”“How about this? You do some research and call me if you have any questions.”“'Kay.” The look he gave her let her know that phone call would probably never come. “I’ll see you around, Doc.”“I really hope you call, Wyatt.”He shoved the card into his pocket and got out of the car without looking back. “Thanks for the ride.”Before she could say anything more he shut the door and left her alone with her thoughts, the scent of his cologne and the alcohol on his breath still hung in the air. As she watched him walk into the building she had to fight herself to keep from running after him. Every word she’d said had been true, and she told herself that if they were meant to be together he’d call. Still, as she pulled out of the parking lot and back onto the main road she didn't wipe away the tears that rolled down her cheeks.

BIO
Ann is Queen of the Castle to her wonderful husband and three sons in the mountains of   West Virginia. In her past lives she's been an Import Broker, a Communications Specialist,   a US Navy Civilian Contractor, a Bartender/Waitress, and an actor at the Michigan   Renaissance Festival. She also spent a summer touring with the Grateful Dead-though she   will deny to her children that it ever happened.
From a young age she's been fascinated by myths and fairytales, and the romance that   often  was the center of the story. As Ann grew older and her hormones kicked in, she   discovered trashy romance novels. Great at first, but she soon grew tired of the endless   stories with a big wonderful emotional buildup to really short and crappy sex. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she's never looked back.
Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her 'sexy space' and has learned to type one handed while soothing a cranky baby.
