Into the Deep End
I've been rushing to meet a deadline for the past three weeks.
My carpets have forgotten what a sweeper looks like. The debit card has been getting a workout at the takeout counter. My kids think I've become permanently attached to my office chair and my husband thinks I'm having an affair with my laptop.
In addition, I had a new release March 3, MOONLIGHT MENAGE, attended the VFRW editor-agent panel, the Liberty States Fiction Writers Conference where I gave a workshop, and ran a 5K race (at m...

New Contract!
Obsolete is not a pretty word. Especially for a once-powerful goddess. For the Forgotten Goddesses of Etruria, it's become a way of life.
I accepted an offer from Sourcebooks to publish a three-book erotic romance series featuring the Forgotten Goddesses of Etruria! It's an offshoot of my Etruscan series and I can't wait for you to read Tessa, Lucy and Amity's stories.
The first book will be released in April 2011. This will be trade paper and part of Sourcebooks new erotic romance line startin...

MOONLIGHT MENAGE: Excerpt 2
Duke slid through the low-hung swinging door at the back of Howling Wolf into the mudroom behind the bar.Since this was a place he and Nic spent time on a regular basis, they kept a locker with spare clothes. Not much, just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, enough to let them enter the bar in their human bodies without showing all their assets.
He and Nic didn't say anything as they shifted back but Duke hurried his change as much as he could so he could watch Nic to make sure he was okay.
He knew...

Moonlight Menage
March 3 is the release date for Moonlight menage, the second in the Lucani Lovers series from Ellora's Cave.
Isn't that cover gorgeous?! It's by Syneca and I adore it.
This book stars Duke, Tira and Nic, who you met in Kiss of Moonlight.
For eight years, Etruscan witch Tira Belludi has longed to give herself, body and soul, to the two shifter men who hold her heart. But visions of death and fears for her sanity have forced her to keep her distance.
Nic Rocca and Duke Ducati are brothers in every...

Change Can Be Our Friend
Change is generally a scary proposition.
Some people thrive on it. I kick and scream and rant...until I realize, it's not that bad. Sometimes, it's better than what you had. Sometimes it's just different and different isn't bad.
The first two books I sold were sweet romance to Avalon. I'd been writing for five years, trying to break into Silhouette Desire. When that didn't happen, I revised the book for Avalon, where couples couldn't touch below the shoulders or share open-mouthed kisses. In re...

Magic – Do you believe?
It seems in every culture throughout history there has been mention of magic. Some would say it doesn't exist, some would argue it does. How can something so widely spoken about not be real? And if it is real, how do you prove it?
The wonderful thing about writing fiction is that I can create whatever kind of worlds I want and/or need for my story. The world in my new Dark Sword series is most definitely filled with magic. Both my heroines and heroes hold magic, though i...

My Favorite Books of 2009
Loved this book, one of my most favorites in her Psy-Changling series. She's an autobuy for me...
...which is why you find her here twice. Mercy and Riley's story. Hot, hot, hot and oh so sweet.
My favorite non-fiction of the year. Fascinating character study of a man and the Amazon jungle that became his obsession and claimed his life. Amazing.
Leigh is another autobuy for me and I really enjoy the hell out of her Breed books. But this one (along with Dawn's Awakening) had just that little so...

Stubborn vs Stupid
At what point does stubborn become stupid? When and how do you determine if it's time to throw in the towel or fight another day?
I don't consider myself brilliant though I'm no idiot. I can hold my own in most conversations (unless Son #1 is using mathgeekspeak then, yes, I'm pretty clueless). I have the ability to tell stories readers enjoy because some of those readers have written glowing reviews. Whenever I send out a new submission, I believe this is the one. This is good, it will sell, ...
