Kylie was born in Melbourne, Victoria in June 1983 and moved to Western Australia with her mother when she was 16 months old. Due to learning difficulties, Kylie struggled to learn how to read and write. Thanks to her mothers determination and dedication, Kylie learnt the magic of the written word and fell in love with storytelling and reading.

At the age of six Kylie discovered the art of poetry and had her first poem 'Platypus' published in the state newspaper. She also began writing short stories and started an 'ideas' journal which she still maintains today.

Over the years Kylie has faced many health challenges, including sleep deprivation photosensitive epilepsy, combined with insomnia, rheumatoid arthritis, malformed kidneys and vis ...more
