Fairest Lord Jesus | Music Video

One of my favorite hymns to really dwell on the lyrics is "Fairest Lord Jesus." It is not the most popular hymn, but it is so beautiful! Many people are missing out by not knowing it!

This verse still applies to us as believers. We can make the right choice and choose to hear God's Word (through preaching and daily Bible reading), but unless we take the next step and keep/apply it, we will never see change in our lives (note: the fruit isn't always visible; it may be the fruit of the Spirit, working in our hearts and bringing love, joy, peace, etc.).

Are our eyes truly fixed on Christ? Or have we let our eyes wander, where our focus is on ourselves, our problems, our strugg...

A Couple of Bookish Things

Two bookish things I wanted to mention to you lovelies today...
First, you can get a free book! :) My friend, A.M. Heath, has her first book, Where Can I Flee, free on Kindle! I'm not sure how long, so grab it before it goes back to list price! I gave it five stars when I read it in December 2015 (see my review here).
Where Can I Flee (Ancient Words Series Book 1) by [Heath, A.M.]
And then, another author friend, Faith Blum, is having a book party on FaceBook today (1:30-5:30 central time). I'll be chatting on there 2:40-3:00, so if you're on FB, I'd l...

In the Sweet, By and By | Music Video

I originally arranged this piece for my younger sister... adapted it a little to make it longer for publication. :) This is one of those simple pieces that is slightly repetitive, which makes my students happy. ;)

The Secret Slipper | Cover Reveal 01

I got an idea from a fellow author's cover reveal and have been itching to play with it! :) So, I have a cover for "The Secret Slipper" ... but you'll only get it one piece at a time. ;) And it's gonna take a few weeks. Be patient! ;)
First piece...First quote...

What kind of "child" are we? Submissive and obedient to our father?
What kind of "clay" are we? Soft and moldable in the hands of our maker?

Praise the Lord that He extended His salvation to the Gentiles so that we, also, can have light!

"And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind...

Grace and the Preacher | Book Review

30659096 I enjoyed almost every aspect of this book. Sure, parts of it made me go, "No! Ohhhh no!" because I predicted what was happening, but of course, I didn't want the characters to make such unwise choices. But I even enjoyed that, from a writers' point of view.

I'd say it wasn't fully predictable. It's hard to discern that, as I study plot and so guess from the writer's brain, not just as a reader.

I loved all of the characters. I identified with Grace and the way she viewed/processed things. Theo...
