Who's Who in The Secret Slipper | Pinterest!!

Ah, character cast. Every book has them. If you're anything like me, as you read, you tend to visualize the characters only to find out that maybe the author's view of the characters was slightly different than you own.
Something I've begun doing is creating a Pinterest board for my book. "The Secret Slipper" is no exception. I have all of my characters on my board! Even if you've not read "The Secret Slipper" yet, it will give you an author's introduction to the characters. :) So hop on over,...

Scripture Graphics #37

"Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens;and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.Thy righteousness is like the great mountains;thy judgments are a great deep:O LORD, thou preservest man and beast. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God!therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house;and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. For with thee is the fountain of life:in thy light sh...

Spurgeon Gems | FLF 4.27.17

My choice for #firstlinefriday is a book I stared on Sunday, Spurgeon Gems. You can get it for free on Kindle and I definitely think it's worth it!

Since this is just a book full of random quotes, I'm choosing one of my favorites (I have highlighted not quite half the book... a lot of great stuff in there!).

"Do not begin until you have prayed! Begin, continue and end everything with prayer, but especially begin with prayer."(Spurgeon Gems, Charles H. Spurgeon

Christ Arose! | Book Review and Giveaway

I am not big into Biblical fiction, because the authors usually take a little too much creative license for my personal preference. However, Faith just finished a Biblical fiction short story (which she wrote, edited, and published in just three short days AND you can get it for free!!)...I had time so read it and wow!! Five stars all the way! You can read my review of it here. I definitely recommend it! OH... AND the giveaway is cool because it comes from my sister's Etsy shop. Yeah... you w...

The Secret Slipper - Coming Soon!!

This last week has been great! I mean, I was down almost every day sick BUT that gave me time to edit Slipper and work on formatting it. So...we have a release date!

That's exactly one month from today! I'm so, so, so excited!!! This has been so very long overdue (in my opinion) and you all have been such a wonderful encouragement to me in the writing and editing process. I appreciate you all so very much!!
If you haven't already, "The Secret Slipper" can be added to your Goodreads list (a...

Scripture Graphics #36

Reading Psalm 31 this morning blessed my heart. These are just a few of the beautiful verses -- I encourage you to read the whole Psalm. "In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: ... For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. ... But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand: ... Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them t...

Princess Prayers | FLF and Book Review

Here I am, combining two things in one post again. ;) But really, this is a great and cute book to feature for First Line Friday...

"Good morning, Lord, it's time to rise. The sun is shining bright.I've got my day ahead of me.Please help me do what's right."("Princess Prayers" by Crystal Bowman)

Come Thou Fount | Music Video

"Come Thou Fount" has to be one of the top favorites for most of my students. One of my violin students requested it for our upcoming music recital, so I was more than happy to oblige her and arrange a violin-piano duet for us to play. I can't wait to show her the music!

Sheet music available here.

Scripture Graphics #35

"Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever." 1 Chronicles 28:8I am doing a word study on seeking God and I found this verse interesting.First, seeking God is not to be private ("I'm not going to tell them I have to pray about this; after all, they won't understand.")Sec...
