Kristen Watterson has been a professional graphic designer and illustrator since 1999. An artist from a young age, writing books was always one of her dreams. She started drawing characters and writing story fragments as a young girl growing up in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Kristen married her husband in college at ORU. Her career has been varied, but always revolving around art in some way. She was a certified teacher (teaching junior high art and high school biology) and she has been the Creative Director at a successful marketing firm. Currently, she freelances graphic design and illustration as she continues to write books. She is a nerd to the core and enjoys scifi books and movies, coffee and tea, knitting, reading, drawing, and painting. Kriste

2. Do something fun. If it's all work and no play, your muse is definitely on vacation!
3. Do something different than your normal routine. Have ice cream or spaghetti for breakfast!
4. Sleep. Rest does wonders for the overworked brain.
5. ... I could actually keep going, but I'd give away a blog post on here! Check out my blog where I'll be writing in 2016 about how to jumpstart your creative side.(less)

There are no limits, and anything can happen. I especially love unexpected surprises in a story. Sometimes I even surprise myself, and I'm the one writing it!(less)

Digital Story #2

Here is my first draft of the second story. This one was crazy because I wrote a completely different story for the storyboard assignment — and then after realizing we actually were going to have to MAKE the video, I had to switch gears because there was no way to tell the story with visuals. (the summary: it was about a harrowing RV experience and there were specific details that generic stock ph
