It’s important to remember that the president works for us. We’re his or her boss. So, I just see this as managerial reprimanding.

Wyatt and Boone learned about a contest for which you had to create a 20-second horror film and they wanted to enter. They came up with an idea, wrote it out, and mapped out the shots. They also came up with their own costumes. They asked me to “hold the camera” and my wife to help with makeup and props.
Last week, we put the props, makeup, tripods and everything else we needed in a satchel and walked to a desolate street a little ways from our house to shoot it. The next night, Boone edited the footage together (yes, for real — he’s getting really good at it) with a little input from Wyatt.
Sadly, they didn’t win. But, I think they did a fantastic job. So, here it is for your Halloween viewing pleasure: Boone and Wyatt’s 20-second horror film, Stretch.

Hi I’m new to your blog and honestly it’s seems like a very wholesome place to be and I love it but I am a smidge bit confused, what is this blog about?
-Sincerely, Anon™️
Firstly, hello. Welcome to my blog. I’ll take your coat for you. Make yourself comfortable. There’s sponge cake and cocktail wienies in the lounge. And do please mind the wombats. They’re feral.
Secondly, my blog used to just be about parenting, specifically a chronicle about my handful of successes and countless more failures as a work-at-home father of twins. I found not only a thriving community of fellow parents here, but it also kicked off a new chapter in my career thanks to a book deal.
Then, I bailed on it for a while because Tumblr was sold to Yahoo, then Automattic (their spelling, not mine), then — I dunno — Burger King or some shit? It just felt different.
But, I came back because I just love Tumblr. And, since I spent nearly a decade building a sizeable group of followers here, I decided to broaden the topic from just parenting to the more delicately categorized “whatever the hell I want to post about.” So, that means I post about my kids and my parenting struggles, sure, but also:

So, there you have it: My blog is about parenting as well as everything else.

School Dress-Up Day: Pandemic Edition.
This is as depressing as fuck. Thankfully, our boys are just happy to mix things up a bit. Until the pandemic is dealt with appropriately, this is as much Halloween as kids are likely to get.
