I have a number of books on my list for summer reading. First on my list is The Girl in the Spider's Web. I've had it on my nightstand for weeks now, and I'm finally just getting to it. These books will follow: Ordinary Grace by William Kent Kruger ( I love coming-of-age novels), The Plains of Passage by Jean M. Auel (I read the first three many, many years ago), The Tour by Jean Grainger (recommended by BookBub), and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime by Mark Hardon (I've heard it's funny---everyone needs a good book to make them smile).
Thanks so much for your question. Have a great summer. Would love to know what's on your list of reads.(less)

So, we've all heard the adage, choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. First, let me say, writing is hard work. I spend hours, sometimes ten hours a day writing because I've got the flow going on, but it's the passion and the love for doing something that I was meant to do that is so incredibly different from the diligent hard work of something I wasn't destined to become. So seriously, find what you love and you will work harder than you have ever worked before. And love it all the same. (less)

It’s always unbelievable how fast time goes by. Summer just started and now vacations have been traveled, kids are returning to school and buses are seen opening their doors on every corner in my neighborhood. Though, I’m not complaining. Autumn is a favorite season of mine. I look forward to the changing colors and the cooler temperatures of September. There is something about school beginning...

Short and easy road. Living in Chicagoland it was great to revisit sites along Route 66 through reading this novel. However, if I lived elsewhere, maybe I would not have liked it as much. The end leaves you with ... well, of course ... I won't spoil ...more

I loved this book. Great characters. Family drama has gone way too far. Worth reading.

Cathy Thanks for adding me Julie. I look forward to reading your books about large families. "Twice the love, twice the sorrow", one mother of eight told me. :)
