The sex advice scene in this book was inspired by a real life conversation I had with my siblings (I think I was nineteen or twenty?) where I learned from MY BROTHER what a clitoris is. Oh the humiliation.

I was extremely absentminded and clumsy while I wrote the first book in this series, THE KISS QUOTIENT. I couldn’t stop daydreaming about it. I wasn’t sleeping. I often forgot to eat. One day, while taking out the garbage (and obsessively contemplating that story), I accidently stepped into an open pipe and tore my shin open to the bone (I still have the scar, which I call my Kiss Quotient Scar). My girl saw and started crying. I told her not to be afraid, that it was just blood. She said, “I’m not crying because I’m afraid of blood. I’m crying because I love you."
