Jeanne Felfe (pronounced Gee Knee Fell Fee) started writing as a teen, but never seriously until about 2012. She would start writing with stark raving enthusiasm, and then mysteriously stop, sometimes for months or years. It wasn’t until she retired from her ATT Project Management job that she asked herself, “if not now, when?” She launched into the July 2013 Camp NaNoWriMo, the writer bug bite, and this time didn’t let go.

Since then, more than 30 of her short stories and essays have been published in a variety of anthologies. Her personal essay "Amidst the Weeds" was honored with the award by Fiftiness - you can read it here -

I finally pulled it out of the files 10 years later and completed this second chances love story.

My current WIP is actually two completely unique novels, both with connections to Africa.

The first came to me in a flash of an image of a missing teenage boy. When I asked "what happened" the voice of a 14 year old female Somali refugee came in loud and clear. She began telling me her story and I was hooked. I'm about 1/3 of the way through writing "The Things We Do Not Speak Of".

The 2nd was inspired by a trip to Rwanda. While there, the main character's name came to me, but not her story. I had to wait until I'd be home for about 2 weeks before she revealed her story. It begins during the genocide that happened in Rwanda in 1994, but mostly happens in current day. The MC's experience during the genocide are what drives her actions and emotions in current day. I've only just begun this novel with the working title of "Beyond The Mist"(less)

I often have no idea where they come from, but when they appear, they are ready to tell their story - often loudly. And I must write them.(less)

Earlier in 2019, I won an audio copy of Georgia Rose’s Parallel Lies. I really had no idea what to expect, but set my phone to play and dove in. Within the first few pages, I’d become a fan of this author. She wove a complicated portrayal of a character who seems outwardly confident, but I could sense the damaged person just below the surface. I highly recomm

When I saw that the creator of the hilarious series Old Dogs New Tricks had written a memoir, I had to get it. It's weird that an over 60 cis female would be interested in either the series or the book. However, I was inexplicably drawn to both. Full ...more

I'm usually able to figure out "who done it" long before the end of the book, but not with this one. The author kept me guessing all the way to the end. Although like some other reviewers, I found the character a bit annoying and naive, I liked the s ...more

This was my first audio book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I kept trying to figure out what happened. About the time I thought I had, it switched again. Worth a read.

I enjoyed this book although I didn't think it really fit into the psychological thriller genre. But that didn't retract from it's enjoy-ability. I recommend it.
