The #StrangeLit Struggle, Conquered
Yep, you read that right, folks. All the sleepless nights have paid off because as of 4-ish in the morning today, I have officially turned in my #StrangeLit manuscript! *insert canned applause here*
Now to be completely honest, I didn’t think it would happen. Somewhere along the way, I’d already thought of throwing in the towel and cheering everyone else on Twitter, but I’m really glad I decided to soldier on and put in several hundred words per day until my story’s roadblocks were cleared b...

The #StrangeLit Struggle
I don’t understand what’s going on. Around forty-eight days ago, I was so pumped about this #StrangeLit plunny, I even felt the urge to flood Rix’s Twitter DM because of it.
Butnow, two weeks into the class and I still have a blank manuscript.
Sure, I got distracted by a little #TalesFromTheMetro, but that shouldn’t have kicked my plunny away. I have been plotting and outlining all this time and I’m still not getting anywhere. This is one of those times I wish my muse/s would come hug me and...

Gag Concert | Beautiful Imprisonment (08.08.2015)
During weekends, I de-stress by watching Korean variety shows, and Gag Concert is one of them. Beautiful Imprisonment is my current favorite skit because . . . reasons. Haha. :P

Finding my way back home
I think I was in pre-school when I first fell in love with the performing arts. My mother was a Whitney Houston fan who would always play her cassette tapes at home, and I learned to sing most of her songs by listening to them over and over. I was in kindergarten when I joined my first singing contest–The Greatest Love of All, anyone?–and since then I’ve kind of found my way back on stage every so often, even when I’d transferred schools at thirteen. There were stage plays, dance competitions...

{ Short & Tweet } Episode One
Thought of putting together amusing tweets I’ve posted, faved, and RT-ed recently. Ya know, for posterity. :P Let’s start with this one because… COME ON. I know it’s like a month ago but come. on.
@MannyMontana makes it look so easy to be hot and gorgeous in just that shirt damn it. #GracelandTV

Sweet dreams are made of these.
Fact: I have the most awesome friends. No, seriously. I may not be very well off (there’s a running joke in our office right now how we belong to borderline SEC D before payday, and it’s kind of true) but I have friends who are always there to y’know, make me look forward to every day, like my #ClingyGirls. ^_^
Last week, my friend Chicame to my house and delivered a bundle of these–my first-ever digitally published eBook, Paper Planes Back Home–IN PRINT! Of course she’d already told me that...

The Company | Tanging Pag-Asa Ko
Tanging Pag-Asa Ko is one of the entries to this year’s PhilPop competition culminating on Saturday, July 25. I have yet to listen to all the finalists, but I’m posting this because 1) my friend OJ is singing awesomely in it (Happy birthday, by the way!), and; 2) I feel like it’s something I’d listen to while struggling over something, how ever small compared to someone else’s circumstances.
Let’s go give the other song entries a listen! Click here.

Red Marks
Think about what we said, Jinah. We are not taking our son away from you; we only want you to live your life the way you should be.
I promised to be with him for the rest of my life.
Circumstances have changed, child. We will understand if–
I’m not giving him up.

Dear Nana,
This is the third time in six months I’m writing a letter like this, and I’ve never really explained the reason behind it yet, have I? No, I thought I’d just write you letters when I felt like it, but really,...

Never Been Easy
The warmth trickles into her system like shower droplets, sliding slowly through her veins, blooming into a familiar tingle on the skin.
She could feel his arms around her again, his breath upon her neck. She could almost hear him say something as he exhales.
But nothing.
She opens her eyes, closes them again, choosing to remain in a placewhere he still loves her.
Where he exists.
. . . . .
There are days she refuses sleep to come and wield its power over her. The darkness is a double-edged...

A little more than peeved
Don’t you justlove positivity? Don’t you just appreciate waking up every morning to a loving family, having meal/s with them, going to work and meet awesome, hardworking people (with whom you get stressed over job-related things with), and then coming back home to a nice warm bed, maybe curling up to read a book or watch something you like? Wouldn’t it be nice if life were this hassle-free all the time, or most of the time at least?
Yeah. It would bereally nice, but you know what? We can’t al...
