I was born and raised in the beautiful historic market town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, where I live still with my daughter, one crazy cat and a succession of even crazier lodgers. Although The Book of Eve is my first published novel, I have been writing stories and poems since I could first pick up a pen, and I promise there are many more books in the pipeline. I write the kind of books that I like to read myself. Books I can escape into and that make me laugh, cry and really connect with the characters. I also like my books to have a very satisfying ending, where all is explained and no string is left untied, well, not unless I'm planning a sequel that is.

Writers block is, thankfully, something I've never had to deal with.(less)

On Publishing & Promoting

It really has been the longest time since I last blogged. My life suddenly became so busy, I was barely able to make it through the days, let alone find the time to sit down and blog about them. So, again, I am sorry, if you are reading this, sorry that it has taken so long for me to catch you up on all that has happened.

First of all, on a personal note, after suffering for three months working at Read more of this blog post »

A well-written and intriguing read in the crime noir genre. This is the second book by Gary Pearson that I have read and a second outing for Inspector Harlow. This time he is facing a serial killer who appears to be randomly selecting victims whose o ...more

The Highwayman by Gary Pearson
"Returning to the Chicago P.D. after personal trauma, gruff Detective Harlow and his more cheerful partner Garroway are thrown into the curious case of a serial killer dubbed The Highwayman. What is the connection between the victims, if any, and why " Read more of this review »

"Pearson’s novel is reminiscent of noir thrillers, following Detective Ian Harlow and his partner Charlie Garroway as they hunt a killer in Chicago. This was my first read by the author, and found the Highwayman to be an enjoyable, if slightly formula" Read more of this review »
