I was born and raised in the beautiful historic market town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, where I live still with my daughter, one crazy cat and a succession of even crazier lodgers. Although The Book of Eve is my first published novel, I have been writing stories and poems since I could first pick up a pen, and I promise there are many more books in the pipeline. I write the kind of books that I like to read myself. Books I can escape into and that make me laugh, cry and really connect with the characters. I also like my books to have a very satisfying ending, where all is explained and no string is left untied, well, not unless I'm planning a sequel that is.

I love the merry war they wage at the beginning, the way they think they've been tricked into admitting their love for each other when really it was obvious right from the start how crazy they were for one another. Writers block is, thankfully, something I've never had to deal with.(less)

On Publishing & Promoting

It really has been the longest time since I last blogged. My life suddenly became so busy, I was barely able to make it through the days, let alone find the time to sit down and blog about them. So, again, I am sorry, if you are reading this, sorry that it has taken so long for me to catch you up on all that has happened.

First of all, on a personal note, after suffering for three months working... Read more of this blog post »

Proper science fiction – like the sort I used to consume in my teenage years by the likes of Bradbury, Asimov and Heinlein – is hard to come by now, and that’s one reason why I’m enjoying the Canellian Eye series by Caroline Noe so much. Book One, ...more

To merely say I liked this book would be doing it a great disservice and words are inadequate to describe just how ridiculously happy this book made me. Set in a mythical medieval world, it tells the story of the Princess Winterhued. Heir to her ...more
