With degrees in Crime Scene Technology & Physical Anthropology, Florida author Shannon Hollinger hasn't just seen the dark side of humanity - she's been elbow deep inside of it!

She is the author of the psychological thrillers 'Best Friends Forever' and 'The Slumber Party,' and the forthcoming Chief Maggie Riley series (November 2023, published by Bookouture).

Her short fiction has appeared in Suspense Magazine, Mystery Weekly, and The Saturday Evening Post, among a number of other magazines and anthologies, and her story 'Lady Killer' was a finalist for the 2021 Al Blanchard Award sponsored by the New England Crime Bake.

Thursday’s Thoughts On Writing ~ Focus & Motivation

I don’t think that any writer needs to be told that getting published is a long, lonely journey up a very steep road. There are days where it feels like trekking up Mount Everest itself, gasping for breath, each inch gained a battle, passing the bodies of those who came before you and failed along the way.
