Thursday Time: Unusual Gratitude
The "weird" things I'm thankful for:
Cleaning up pet litter because it means their bodies are working the way they should. Leftovers because I have an abundance of food. Too many emails because I have a social net. Crowded closets because I have clothes & shoes. A cupboard of expired medication because it means I've been healthy.September 7, 2011
Wednesday Woe: Why Writing is a muscle
The summer's been really busy, so much so that I didn't get as much writing done as I'd hoped…and now that I do have time, I find that part of my brain has atrophied. Doesn't want to work. Sigh. This is exactly why success as a writer is about consistency and why the lady (Nora Roberts, maybe) said, "I don't find time to write. I make time to write."
Tuesday Technique: Redundancies
**Squeak** Sorry, I seem to be confusing Tuesday with Sunday.
So, redundancies. This is where you write something, then overwrite it: "The water completely surrounded us." Well, yeah. "Surrounded" is a complete action. Take out "complete" and you have a tighter sentence: "The water surrounded us."

Bags, Books, & Bon Jovi Reviews Vegas
What Happens in Vegas is, literally, LOL funny. I'm not usually a fan of humorous mysteries as the humor, sometimes, seems forced or "added in". This book was real in its humor and I appreciated it..Las Vegas is one of my favorite places and this novel captured it so well.
