When You Know You're a Writer
Wrestling with the sequel of True Grime. There's SO MUCH I want to do with this series and my ideas (I fear) are ahead of my talent and skill. I woke up this morning at 5:00 AM, too anxious to fall back asleep and decided to just dive in.
I have a manuscript, but I know I have to trash 95% of it (which is why I've been putting off edits). But this morning as I began to rework the characters and scenes, to delete the pages and edit the dialog…I felt a sense of completeness, of excitement...
