I live in Toronto, have written several books of fiction and non-fiction, and belong to International Thriller Writers, the Great Lakes Chapter of the Historical Novel Society, Historical Writers of America, and such organizations as the Royal Ontario Museum. While my background includes newspaper reporter and columnist, feature writer for magazines, editor, teacher of journalism, and media consultant, writing fiction with a strong element of history is my passion.

My latest book is the non-fiction BABE RUTH - A Superstar's Legacy, now available at Amazon. This is the first book to explore the legacy of Ruth and it goes far beyond baseball.

George Orwell and his epic novel 1984 are making a comeback. His character Winston Smith existed in a world where freedom and privacy have disappeared. Some think this is happening today.
