VisionsThe Petiri welcome you …

To their life, to the magic of the desert. A people from another world, who have powers alien to ours.

Caught on a planet not their own, stranded and forced to hide who and what they are,  they survived midst the deserts for millions of years.

When the world of Gods meets the world of Man, will Man survive?

Or is death the only option for those who challenge ?

Yes, Welcome to the world of the Petiri.

First, let me welcome all of you to my site!  And welcome to all the great Scweirdsciencei Fi Brigadesters (is that a word?)

I think the Strange Science post for the Summer Cafe would be a great time to introduce myself, since Strange and Strange science both describe me and my work.  So please, step aboard the starship, because it’s time to take a ride.  Wait.  My sci fi isn’t quite like that, because it’s the “Weird Science” week!

And let me tell you – do I have some serious weird science for you!  Think Pink skies and blue grass.  (Just imagine the fun possibilities – and yes, there is science behind that).

So let me tell you just a little about the fun world I have created.  It all begins in Egypt.  I know, I’m supposed to talk about science fiction, but bear with me.  A lone ship crashes in the deserts thousands of years ago, trapped on backwards world, where slavery is common, and magic is only for gods.  A world where technology has yet to be a glimmer in the minds of men.  And yet, they survive.  Thriving in the shadows, hiding what they truly are.  In Visions of Fire & Ice, you not only learn about the blue grass and pink skies caused by a world’s atmosphere we can only begin to understand, we learn secrets of the ancient egyptians.  Of King Tut himself.

And the science? There are glimmers in this first book, of computer systems beyond our own, healing technology, and there’s much more to come.  Imagine sitting beside your best friend and chatting. But wait, isn’t your best friend half a world away. No, we don’t have star trek transporters, but we do get to learn of a great communication system that makes the person you speak to seem as real as if they are beside you. So real, you want to reach out and touch!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could power your own technology with your mind?  With what today would be magic? When a thought enables a computer’s processes? The wonderful part about the Petiri series is there are so mamy possibilities.

I always tell people the real reason I write the stories I do is that I watched too many Dark Shadows shows and too much Star Trek.  You’ll find hints of both in my work, both my shifters, and also in my Science Fiction/Parnormal cross over. So take a peek at my newest work, and see what do you think.  Strange Science Fiction?  Or just plain Strange?

The End of the Line
Teresa D’Amario
The train slowed and Wadjet stared out the window.  If only she had the ability to travel through space like the other gods did, but she’d been banned.  Leaving Egypt so long ago was apparently not the way to endear one’s self to the remaining gods and goddesses of Egypt.  But travelling by train had always been a favorite of hers, rather than taking a human airplane.  At least, once the humans created their trains.  Renting her own sleeping car made  the travelling feel less like being crammed into a tin can hurtling through the air, and more like a relaxing vacation.  But despite the steady chug chug of the train, she wasn’t on a simple tour, despite the beautiful colored leaves falling as they passed.

This world was changing, and so were the gods.  They were tired of living in their own magic created reality, and had decided to interfere once again in human lives.  Her own precognition had warned her this would happen, and how their interference could destroy this planet.  Her descendants were her only hope.  Now that one of her grandchildren was already in Egypt to meet her mate, she needed to find the rest, to make sure they were where they needed to be.

Wadjet watched the beautiful countryside pass.  North Carolina.  The last time she’d been here was to tell her grand son his mate was about to arrive.  That had been more than thirty years ago.  She fingered the soft, golden Napshua upon her arm.  Her own mate had died all those years ago, leaving her alone, tasking her with a job only she could perform.  The Napshua did it’s best to remind her, tingling whenever she came close to finding one of those descendants.   She had to find her family when it was time, and bring them together.

Another leaf dropped, plastering itself against the pane of the window in her cabin.   The once green veins were fire red, and leaf blending from orange to red, reminding her of the fires she’d started so many years ago.    Back when she’d inadvertently lit the pharaoh’s tapestries on fire.  A sad smile touched her lips.  Fire wouldn’t save the world today.  It would take much more.  Those Petiri who’d arrived so man years ago, along with her family, were the world’s salvation.

The leaf ripped apart, leaving one tiny portion caught in the corner of the window, the rest blown away.  Chaos.  Murder.  Destruction.  It was coming.  The world teetered on the same.  Bur rather than ripped by the speed of the train, it would be torn asunder by the magic of the gods.

The train rumbled along it’s tracks, oblivious to the dangers ahead.  One more hour, and she’d be there.  The end of the Line.  The end of peace, and the beginning of the end.

To learn more about the dangers Wadjet is worried about, begin by reading Visions of Fire & Ice, a book of the Petiri. Visions

Trapped on a planet not their own, the Petiri spend their lives hiding the natural gifts that set them apart from the world. They live long and unfulfilled lives, unable to find their soul mates on this backward planet known as Earth. That is until the night Ramose comes face to face with Tamara, a woman whose gifts rival his own. Determined to find why this human is in possession of an ancient magical Petiri relic, he arranges a meeting.

But Tamara, embittered from past events, is wary despite lifelong dreams of Ramose and a sure knowledge he is her soul mate. Before long the couple find themselves ensnared in a battle that has raged for millennia in Egypt’s desert. Set, Egyptian God of Chaos, is determined to take his just due: the throne of Osiris.

The only way to stop him is for Ramose to put his trust in Tamara, but, first, he must gain the same from her. The ensuing sensual relationship is filled with romance, lust and love. Their relationship is tested by an unnatural evil. Will her powers over fire, combined with his ice be enough to win the day? Or will the ancient gods and goddesses of Egypt destroy more than just their love?

Take a listen to this:

If you are unable to hear the audio, feel free to check out the link at audible.com and listen to the teaser.

SHEWOLF3-432mineNow isn’t THAT sexy? Kieran and Anna come alive in this amazing audio book. I gotta tell you, people, if you’ve never tried an audio book, you are so missing out! Why listen to audio over reading? Well that’s difficult. I still read, but still listen. I love listening to them, especially when I would normally be bored with my hands and eyes too busy to read. For me, listening to audio books with an earphone in my ear is when I’m exercising, when I’m driving, or even just cleaning the kitchen. Getting bored is dangerous in all of those circumstances, so why make such tedious jobs boring? Grab that mp3 player (ipod, whatever….) and download SheWolf and bring your world and theirs to life!

Keep tabs on me here – I’ll be adding simple little excerpts of this wonderful story right here on this site so you can hear the very sexy sounding Thomas Miller bring Kieran and Anna to life!  Or, get your own copy.  As a new customer, your first three books are free, so you can have SheWolf for free if you join Audible.com today!

For you authors who have thought about audio books, this has been an amazing journey. Hearing your words come to life with such an excellent reader is a high like you never experienced. If you’re interested in doing the same, just check out ACX.COM

I hope you guys like the new layout! As you can see, I have something very new coming out, and I can’t wait to share it with you! For those who love my shifters, don’t worry, not only is it the same hot, paranormal world you’ve all grown used to, but it’s also got alot of wonderful new, hot men, who have special skills. I think you’re going to love Ramose, Amunkha, Darius, Mereruka, and even Trey. Imagine yourself in a world where not everyone is human, and not everyone wants to live on this planet! They just want to go home, but can’t! I’d tell you more, but you’ll just have to read more yourself!

Now, about the new design. I’m more or less killing my blog, mostly because I’m terrible at blogging. This page is going to be for any contests, or special announcements. Not that it doesn’t mean I won’t pop in and chit chat now and then about life, just saying, don’t expect it as a regular thing. Anyone used to my blogs know how bad I am at them. :D

So Take a look around! Ask all the questions you like, and if I can, I’ll answer them. Welcome the new Petiri, and say hi to the shifters! They aren’t gone, that’s for sure!

I’m so excited about this new world, and don’t worry. If you’re not a huge sci fi fan, that’s okay. The book is grounded in today’s world. Action, Adventure, Magick, and hot romance, these books are for you!!!

The bad part is it’s not all for good reasons.  The first, is my hair.  It doesn’t happen so much anymore, but when I was younger, if I went to a new beautician who liked to be “Original”, I’d have to spend my first half hour there either agreeing to, or fighting against a new [...]

It’s funny, because those who are not “canine knowledgeable” tend to slap all canine aggression into one tidy box.  “That dog bites”.  Does it?  Years ago I was working at a veterinarian clinic volunteer.  For my first task, I was asked to put ointment in a dog’s ears.  The dog – a german shepherd who [...]

Hey guys!  Welcome back to my series on Canine Behavior.  Like I mentioned before, a lot of people comment on the amount of true canine behavior I use in my stories.  That’s because years ago, I learned something very important.  Dogs are really not much more than a domesticated wolf.  True, we’ve played with their [...]

Ok, so I’ve been a very bad girl, and I apologize.  I haven’t blogged for a month – and I”m not sure how that happened.  I think of things to blog about.  I do!  But the next thing I know it’s a week later and it still hasn’t been written.  Well phooey.  It’s probably because [...]
