This is the Chocolate Pudding Recipe I Make Nearly Every Month
Sure, store-bought chocolate pudding is fine and good but this right here? This double-chocolate pudding recipe made with raw cacao powder and coconut milk is elite. It’s also super easy to whip together and a delight to have tucked away in the refrigerator.
The thing that I’ve come to love about TikTok is that our weirdest, most common truths go viral for no/every reason. Lately I’ve seen video after video about a woman’s luteal phase and… if you know you know.

Baking 101: How I Test My Oven with Sliced Bread
Hi friends! Just wanted to put this back at the top of your inbox. It’s Baking Szn babes, and I only want the best for us. I’m revamping and resurrecting some of my Baking 101 posts just to refresh our baking skills. Last week we learned how to read a recipe, this week we get to know our ovens. Here’s how!
Before we formally set off on all of our festive fall and holiday baking, let’s take a minute to talk about one of the baking questions I’m asked most frequently.

Let It Be Sunday, 437!
If you’re a Joan Didion fan, this subhead may give you a clue as to what’s coming. If not, this is my not so subtle way of telling you goodbye. For now. You may still see me round these parts here and there, but I’m stepping back from the regular rotation.
Joy and I have been friends for a long time and when she asked me back in 2021 to start writing these guest posts, I was thrilled.

Let It Be Sunday, 436!
Friends, hi!
You know I love a list. Generally, I reserve my self-indulgent, fun lists to the summer months but I just… I need a little extra this year. The Summer Bucket List has been going strong since 2015 (can you believe) and the amount of joy I get from crossing off these lists over the years? It’s so much that I’ve decided to let those good times roll into fall.

Baking 101: How To Read A Recipe
Welcome to the wonderful world of baking where flour, butter, and our collective sweet tooth’s (teeth? teeth’s??) come together to create an absolute mess in our kitchens. Dirty every dish, I say! In the name of cookies, of course. Whether you’re a seasoned baker, or just tying up the apron strings for the first time, knowing how to read a recipe is one of the most crucial steps in your baking success.
It’s easy to take for granted exactly how to read a recipe.

Let It Be Sunday, 435!
Hello! It’s September, which means that I am fully ready for my first viewing of You’ve Got Mail and have spent some time eyeing my sweaters, but I am still sweating every afternoon and using my air conditioner. In California, true fall weather is probably at least a month out, but in my heart, I am ready.
Over here in my world, school is well under way, and I am enjoying my students so far.

You Have To Make Karlee’s Peach Butter
I have the same regret every September: I didn’t eat enough summer peaches.
It never fails. Every July I take peaches for granted. They’re stacked high at the grocery store and though they never do, I think they’ll last forever. I throw a mega watermelon in my cart, grab a bag of cherries, and head straight to the freezer aisle for coconut popsicles. It’s all fun and games until the peaches and nectarines stacks start to dwindle that I recognize the error of my ways.

Let It Be Sunday, 434!
Hi friends! Good morning! Last time we checked in on a Sunday I was headed to Arkansas for several days of camping and motorcycling with Will. I also had to see about a hill.
See, there is this one hill just outside of Devil’s Den State Park, in a town called Winslow, that has this sharp steep hill. This hill had become a legend in my mind. Last time I tackled this hill I was in very much the wrong gear, slowly stalled going up, and slowly dropped my bike into a ditch.

My 5 Best Pantry Organization Tips
Friends, hi!
You know Virgo season is hitting hard this year when even I take to the pantry with new canisters and labels. Virgo season would have us holding ourselves to our highest standards and I’ve taken that on, and I’ve taken it personally.
I’m working with two pantries these days. In the Houston kitchen (pictured above) I cleared and organized a pantry I actually never organized when I moved in a (yikes) year ago.

Let It Be Sunday, 432!
Guys, it’s too hot. The ‘hold my beer’ energy of August after July was declared the hottest month in the history of the planet is admirable, but terrible. It’s too hot to drive to TJ Maxx and buy a pumpkin scented candle. And even if I did, it’s too hot to have a candle burning in my house. Please, a live fire? In a house where I already have to close all the curtains and run a fan in every room?
