Seriously, when you're a freelancer working towards deadline, it can't exist. Normally, when I'm moving through treacle, I use a technique of whacking down any old rubbish. The next day, I tend to find that 50% of the time it was actually fine, and the other 50% of the time it's repairable. I'd much rather have a block of text that needs improvement rather than a blank screen.(less)

Long Voyage Back by Luke Rhinehart
"Overall a pretty good, realistic, and well detailed post apocalyptic story set in the 1980s during and after a nuclear war between the U.S. and Soviet Russia. The characters were well done and interesting to read about. The plot wasn't bad and I real" Read more of this review »

Stephen King
“The 3 types of terror: The Gross-out: the sight of a severed head tumbling down a flight of stairs, it's when the lights go out and something green and slimy splatters against your arm. And the last and worse one: Terror, when you come home and notice everything you own had been taken away and replaced by an exact substitute. It's when the lights go out and you feel something behind you, you hear it, you feel its breath against your ear, but when you turn around, there's nothing there...”
