elenajohansenreads:

Day Zero: To-Be-Read Before the readathon starts, share what you are hoping to read. Don’t be afraid to be adventurous - you’re a dragon now.

I do not expect to finish all of these, but hey, I’m a dragon, let’s be ambitious. [I do not own any stuffed dragons, a terrible oversight on my part, so my stuffed giant isopod, Kaede, graciously stood in for photos.]

D R A G O N ’ S   C H A L L E N G E S

Read a book under 150 pages: No Ordinary Star, by writeblr’s own @mcfrankauthor [it’s exactly 150 pages, but also I’m ashamed of how long it’s sat untouched in my TBR at this point]
Read a book over 450 pages: Desperation, by Stephen King
Read an audiobook +
Read a genre that is outside of your usual preferences:
So You Want to Talk About Race, by Ijeoma Oluo
Read a book that has been on your backlist for over a year: The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs, by Steve Brusatte
Read a diverse book: A Princess in Theory, by Alyssa Cole
BONUS: Read a book with dragons: City of Dragons, by Robin Hobb and/or Voyage of the Basilisk, by Marie Brennan [why yes, I am in the middle of two series about dragons, aren’t you?]

Aesthetic from my reverse Beauty and the Beast retelling with a black heroine and a damaged but spoiled hero.

Leopold & Nerida

She loves reading, he loves nothing.

Her name means “fairy” in Greek, his means “lion”. It’s set in the time of ballroom dances, long silk dresses, hand kisses and social distancing, aka Regency.

I still haven’t found a title worthy of it, but once I do, I am starting the release process asap. After the summer, God willing
