The Isle of Serenity
To quote Josephine, “Welcome to the Isle of Serenity: Paradise of Dreams!”
What is the Isle of Serenity? It comprises of the Town of Tranquility, the Palm Forest, the Lighthouse, and the University.
In prior stories, we went through the Forest and are told the Lighthouse is closed. The University has a grand library as Danna and Anna noted in The Fields:
Danna insisted we go to the Library at the University. The high school and the town's public library were lacking in material and style according to what he has told me.

Blair will spend more time in the Town of Tranquility. I won’t launch into detail here, but it is like the other places on the Isle—strange. Something is off about the isle community. Of course if the rest of the Isle is strange, it would make sense that the whole is bizarre!

The Sister Julie
Perhaps a bit from "The Fields" will paint a better picture:
I wake up, sitting up rapidly. MM-My, my room is freezing!
“Hmm, that didn't work as well as I had hoped,” Julie pouts as she stands at the door to my bedroom.
“Wha-what?” I chatter out with a violent shiver.
“I made the room to be really cold by cranking up the air!”
“Why, why would you do such?!” I glare at her.
Her grin grows and out rolls a sickly sweet reply, “Why to awaken you, dearest Anna. But alas, this method fails! It took much longer to stir you. I'll have to try something else.” She then slips out of the frigid room.

Talk about a cold shoulder!
Julie of course is more than a sadistic alarm clock. Blaire's story features more contact with her...something to look forward to in Blair's Beginning on August 10th!

Blair in "The Fields"
Anna thinks the world of her older sister Blair. Anna’s story "The Fields" within The Isle of Serenity did not have Blair speaking much. But As Anna’s experiences grow increasingly difficult, she often thinks of Blair and her comforting presence. Here’s an excerpt from Anna's eyes in "The Fields:"
When I open my eyes I find myself back in my unadorned bedroom. Blair is here sitting at the foot of my bed.
“You’re back,” she speaks in a soft tone filled with concern.
I feel exhausted and entirely unrested, “Yeah.”
“You best get ready,” Blair actually sounds a bit tired herself.
“Yeah,” I sit up; I suppose the day isn’t going to seize itself.”
So apparently Blair is a calming presence for Anna. However, this reveals nothing of Blair's thoughts on the strange world of the Isle of Serenity!
If you liked that and cannot wait for Blair’s story, you can read "The Fields" in Lost Upon the Isle of Serenity! It is available from all major eBook providers, just Google ISBN # 9781634617321

A New Story
I am excited to announce that I am to publish an eBook novelette on August 10th!
Blair’s Beginning tells the story of Blair, a character from "The Fields." She is Anna’s elder sister (well, at least according to Annette). Blair is a character that I really wanted to expand on; well, she’s a favorite of mine.
From a world building perspective, Blair’s story connects Anna and Danna’s adventures in Lost Upon the Isle of Serenity. I had originally intended to publish "Blair’s Beginning," "Through the Isle," and "The Fields" together in Lost Upon the Isle of Serenity. At the time, I just was not ready with this story. Then I rewrote it, that added considerable time.
As stated prior each story stands alone, but together they fit into a wider world. The Isle of Serenity is a bizarre place in both its setting and the residents.
In the coming days I will be releasing more details about the incoming story.
I do hope you’ll join Blair on her adventure!

Price Drop!!!
With the onset of summer, my book Lost Upon the Isle of Serenity dropped in price! It now prices at about $2.99. (Sometimes lower depending on the seller!)
Of course the virtual tome is available virtually everywhere eBooks are sold!
Lost Upon the Isle of Serenity contains a pair of shortish (well novelettes) about the existential and physical challenges of waking up with little memory and a great deal of uncertainty!
“Through the Isle” features the story of Danna (or Serene—he’s not sure on that detail). He and his sisters are off to see the lighthouse on the other side of the isle. Of course, the poor fellow is dropped into this whole affair and with reservations. He must assume far more than he is comfortable with. i.e. Are these really his sisters?
"The Fields” has Anna slipping into a world of dreams. Now these dreams confusing, dangerous too. She considers this: it may all be a dream, but she doesn’t want to die in reality or those dreams!
The Isle of Serenity is a place of mystery. Sure, the protagonists don’t really know themselves, but it doesn’t really help that the isle is bizarre!

Success of Lost Upon the Isle of Serenity
See why I’m awesome and get my book: Kindle, NOOK Google, Kobo, and ibooks!
Search by title: Lost Upon the Isle of Serenity or ISBN # 9781634617321
It’s a collection of stories that adventure through the exotic locales of such as a bizarre isle and a rather nippy tundra. Crisis comes in the forms of existential and nature’s insistence on paying attention to physical dangers. (You can wonder about “being” if you can stay alive!) There are manipulative superiors and confused protagonists, a classical start, but a fun jaunt (unless you are the protagonists.) Pardon the cover, I did myself and found my art to be storycraft!
Special thanks to all those who supported me!

Lost Upon the Isle of Serenity Release Notes
Through the Isle
You see most people are certain that the reality they live in is both real and they are actually certain of those little details like personal identity—you know the basics. The Isle of Serenity does not work that way. Danna (according to one of his supposed sisters anyway) just woke to the bickering of two people who appear to be his siblings and realized at least three things were missing:
1. His memory of before waking up.
2. His own name.
3. And why he wound up in what can best be presumed to be a hospital.
Existential and personal issues aside, his sister, Josephine, wants to go see the lighthouse on the other side of the isle. As it turns out, this is both a dangerous idea and an exercise in futility. The duration of Danna’s story is, well, trying to find both a lighthouse and his self.
The Fields
Annette, well she prefers Anna, is not really sure what is real and what is a dream. One world is that of a normal, if not a bit mundane, high school student starting out. There’s the wacky teacher called Professor, her sisters who serve as vicious alarm clocks, and she has befriended the very serene guy who sits next to her.
The other world is the problem. It is that of endless fields and mysterious people who basically send Anna into harm’s way on a regular basis. If this is her reality, Anna is in big trouble. You can die in dreams with little consequence; however reality is a bit more singular and permanent in that result. Anna must both undergo the challenges that these worlds present and figure out which is the more real.
