You've quite literally read the book on those.
You recite them like a liturgy every 28-35 days
while you sit on the bathroom counter
for the longest 3 minutes of your life
and wait for the second line.
Have my breasts been tender?
Was I nauseated yesterday, or was that just nerves?

You'll know what people will say, too,
because you've read... Read more of this blog post »

More of Olivia's books…
Bram Stoker
“It is really wonderful how much resilience there is in human nature. Let any obstructing cause, no matter what, be removed in any way, even by death, and we fly back to first principles of hope and enjoyment.”
Bram Stoker, Dracula

Douglas Wilson
“We must also consider the nature of prayer. It is curious that Christians are pushing so strenuously for prayer which they don't believe to he prayer. Christians pray to the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ-not to Allah, Krishna, or God-as-you-conceive-him/her-tobe. If we were successful in establishing Christian prayer in the
schools, we would be violating the religious liberties of those who are not Christians. If we establish prayer that is not Christian, what have we gained? Why fight to get prayer in the schools when you believe the prayers, once instituted, won't get past the ceiling? Do we really want our children led in a daily vain repetition?”
Douglas Wilson, Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning: An Approach to Distinctively Christian Education

“True love is born of time and trials, and it is rarely caught up in feelings.”
K. B. Hoyle, The Enchanted

C.S. Lewis
“But courage, child: we are all between the paws of the true Aslan.”
C.S. Lewis, The Last Battle

C.S. Lewis
“Crying is all right in its way while it lasts. But you have to stop sooner or later, and then you still have to decide what to do.”
C.S. Lewis, The Silver Chair
