For surely, there is nothing but magnificence in this map of the various expeditions and probes sent out into the universe.

To Infinity and Beyond, indeed.

Words Away

And the readthrough on the manuscript for the paperback edition of Firefly Rain is done. Note to self: having documentaries about carnivorous Miocene-epoch pigs on in the background whilst searching for typos may in fact result in unwanted insertions and a strange craving for the opportunity to fight bacon in a duel to the death.

Sorbet Diary: Vanilla Green Tea

On the whole, I'd give it an 8. The mad culinary scientist in me is pondering a green tea-mango crossover, but that'll be for another day.

...vacation.

I intend to spend mornings working around the house, afternoons writing, and evenings chasing after my cat and yelling.

Bliss.

Spooky Spooky. And Annoying

One of my lesser eccentricities is that I collect "true ghost story" books. I can't help it; they're like catnip to me. Oh, sure, I can make some sort of rumbly claim about research and source material and whatnot, but really, I just find them irresistible. And so I snap them up when I find them - local and regional books, "field guides", odd antiques, national "catalogs" of haunted sites -  you name it, I get 'em all. Two books of ghost stories from the benighted Uwharries? Yup, got 'em. A m...
