A few of my favorite things: My family and my dear, dear friends;
My addictions/vices: Books; wine...white zin or pinot grigio; coffee...an every morning must have; popcorn
What I do when I'm not writing: I read or I might be working at the local Starbucks, hanging out with the above-referenced friends and family; bicycling around my neighborhood; taking a nap.
I'm originally from Southwest Missouri, but I grew up in a bunch of tiny towns in Illinois and Idaho before I arrived in Florida where I currently reside. Want to know more about me? Read my blogs which you can access through my web site.

I browse the library for books that look interesting. I have some favorite authors and I always look for books by them that I haven't already read. And sometimes, I pick up a book by one of them that I have already read, but I have no memory of reading it. This happened recently with a Sandra Brown novel, I'd read two years earlier. I should check my Goodreads list of books read before I start one. It was on there! Sometimes I'll hear of a new book I want to read or see notice of a new one out by a fave author and I'll make a note to find those.(less)

Release in 2018 maybe.(less)

When The Words Won’t Come

When the words won’t come, what does a writer do? Consult with other writers, of course.

For days I’d been trying to come up with a one-sentence tag line, preferably ten words or less for If You Dare. Below is the working blurb:

For Doug Winston the choice is clear: remain the pompous ass he’s always been or shoot for Father of the Year.

The first time Doug Winston looks into his newborn daughter’...

I was looking for a book that no one had recommend to me or I had herd of so I decided to go to the library and chose a random book, the book was on display facing backwards, so I had a quick skim of the synopsis an..." Read more of this review »
