How much do you make?
Just got back from the post office. I picked up a package with an Australian copy of my book in it. (Thanks, Emily! I need your address to reciprocate!) The line was long, so I tugged it out and looked it over. The guy behind me asks 'That a good book?' I replied, "Yep, because I wrote it." So what was his first question after learning that I am an author? "You must make pretty good money doing that, eh?"It never ceases to amaze me the audacity of total strangers who ask me how much I...

Fun Facts on Vampire's Tango - and winner names!
A HUGE thanks to everyone who retweeted in yesterday's Twitter contest. I estimate over 25K people got the RTs. Very cool. Estimate a good 10K probably saw the tweet. And if even a fraction considered buying the book, that would be neat. Now, if you were waiting to buy the book, don't! Go out and grab it today! It's good, I promise. :-)
Here's the winners of the contest. Please email me your addresses (I also tweeted this): @cafeofdreams, @murphykatt, @digbythedog, @pattepoilue, @mdo...

Tweet Contest for Vampire's Tango
All right, here's how it works. This contest takes place today only—March 1st. Follow me on Twitter @michelehauf. All you have to do to be entered to win a copy of HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND is RT (retweet) any of my posts about Vampire's Tango today. I have 4 posts planned, starting in the morning through afternoon. Each post has a link to learn more about the story, watch a video, or even to download free music at Amazon. I want to spread the word, and you, my Tweeple, can help me. For...

Pre-Order now
Vampire's Tango is available Monday March 1st! Putting info up here today to whet your reading muscles. This is a novella (10K words) and is about Alexandre Renard, who shows up as a secondary character in HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND. You do not have to read this story first (nor do you have to read it after; but I hope you will). It is a stand alone story. It takes place before HVH, but it has absolutely nothing to do with that story, save the common character. I'd suggest reading in either...

Fun stuff!
Today has been an awesome day for deliveries. I love you, UPS Man! FedEx Chick, too. She started the awesomeness by delivering my Amazon order that should have been two-day delivery (to arrive Saturday) but it came in one day. How cool is that? (A box of PureBars; brownie flavored. I lurve those!)
Next the UPS Man dropped off these:
See what's inside?
Yay! They're here, and they are so pretty! The title is in red foil, and they're just so nummy. I heart that man on the cover. He looks ...

Just some fun stuff today. If you're in Brazil, you can find the Midnight Cravings anthology with six Nocturne Bites, including my
Racing the Moon
, out right now. They used the Kiss Me Deadly cover. Cool.
If you're in France, you can pick up Kiss Me Deadly or From The Dark. A writer friend of mine was actually in Paris a few weeks ago and she brought me back a copy of FTD. Very cool! It's always fun to see the different versions of the same book, even if the cover art is the same...

Have you ever gone to the wrong movie? I'm not talking walking into the wrong theater (though I did do that once). The hubby and I just got back from seeing FROM PARIS WITH LOVE. I went to the movie expecting it to be mediocre, just judging the trailers. I don't particularly care for John Travolta. But I needed a Paris and Jonathon Rhys Meyers fix.
As we're waiting for the previews to end I told the hubby the movie was directed by Luc Besson, the same guy who did the Transporter movies an...

Just wanted to make you aware... If you like to look for books on eBay, that there are a number of sellers offering Her Vampire Husband for sale right now. But it's not Her Vampire Husband. The listing states my title and name but the cover art is for Livia Reasoner's The Vampire Affair. The book you would win would actually be Reasoner's. Her Vampire Husband is not yet in print. So don't bid on those, please. I assume these sellers have some sort of automated system that puts up the p...

The WInter Games
Wow! I just noticed my last post here was my 1000th post. Cool. So let's get onto 1001...Does anyone watch the Olympics? I confess, I'm not much of a sports enthusiast. But there are a few Winter Games that are fun to watch. I actually watched the whole opening ceremonies just because I thought I'd missed some really cool stuff not watching it for the Summer Games, so didn't want to miss it again. Well, I suppose there was no way to top the Summer Games. :-) I did love the violin/tap...
