The @[100974704136:274:Army Black Knights] football team will be wearing the unit patch of the @[287901225386:274:82nd Airborne Division] when they take on Wake Forest tomorrow. The 82nd Airborne Division is an active airborne infantry division of @[44053938557:274:The U.S. Army] specializing in parachute landing operations. Based at @[153830241304751:274:Fort Bragg, N.C.], the 82nd Airborne Division is the primary fighting arm of the @[159444347067:274:XVIII Airborne Corps]. The 82nd Division was constituted in the National Army on 5 August 1917, and was organized on August 25, 1917, at Camp Gordon, Georgia. Since its initial members came from all 48 states, the unit acquired the nickname "All-American", which is the basis for its famed “AA” shoulder patch.
