Nineveh’s beetle onslaught comes true

NinevehThe second time I’ve “predicted” uncanny events! In 2010, the day after the launch of my story collection Homing, which included a story about a Camps Bay house destroyed by a rolling boulder, that exact thing happened in real life … but this is even freakier.


“A new species of beetle has been discovered in Noordhoek, eerily echoing the plot of Henrietta Rose-Innes’s novel Nineveh. The odd-looking bug was found in a wetlands area and bears little resemblance to other species of beetles in Africa … it should be given its own genus.”
