Addicted to reading and love encouraging writers, artists?

Addicted to reading and love encouraging writers, artists?

I was one of them when I was employed, I used to buy books and cassettes by dozens and books on painting, photography were my favorites. I could never have enough of them! Since becoming dependent I get my quota from blogs and YouTube. But if I start making my own living I will again start buying books and audios.

Are you in my league and wont mind spending a few dollars each month?

You can buy me a coffee or become my supporter in buymeacoffee.com
https://buymeacoffee.com/sharmishthabasu

or

My patreon pledges are at your disposal in that case:

My profile there:
https://www.patreon.com/sharmishthabasu

If you pledge $1 per month Agnilipi every month
If you pledge $2 per month Agnipat, Agnishatdal every month
If you pledge $3 per month Agnilipi, Agnipat, Agnimalya every month
If you pledge $4 per month Agnilipi, Agnipat, Agnimalya, Sharmishtha Basu’s Paint and Brush every month.
If you pledge $5 per month Agnilipi, Agnipat, Agnimalya, Sharmishtha Basu’s Paint and Brush and glimpses of my upcoming books in form of another mini book every month.

There are two more pledges go to the profile and check them out from there if you are feeling interested.

Agnimalya contains stories
Sharmishtha Basu’s Paint and Brush contains you can guess fully illustrated works of any possible type I can create!
Coming Kingdom will share pieces of upcoming books.
Agnilipi will share my new passion, selected photos.
Agnipat will share few paintworks each month

Patreon 5- Agnilipi, Agnimalya, Agnipat, Coming Kingdom and SBPnB

Agnilipi
https://patreon.com/sharmishthabasu

Agnilipi will share a set of photography each month, they maybe versatile or one single topic. Do share your views after checking them out.

I am not a great photographer, let me tell you, just an amateur one armed with a point and shoot camera most of the time and am honing my skill on a DSLR lately but am far from getting satisfied with my handling it yet!

Agnimalya
https://patreon.com/sharmishthabasu

Agnimalya is a book of stories, some old stories and mostly new stories are included in it. The mood depends on the stories included- that is- they are unpredictable! I try to make them as versatile as possible and sometimes throw in some flash-fictions lavishly illustrated for you!

You will have to check out a few copies to get the feel. But just as I said I try to add all genres but not in the same book, and I don’t really stick to one genre for one book mostly, maybe I will in future, but not at present. Most probably you will enjoy a dose of love in the February Issue or Durgapuja in autumn….

Agnipat
https://patreon.com/sharmishthabasu

Agnipat will share a set of digital paintings each month, will decide each month the contents to be shared. If you like my clumsy paintings you will like this book.

Coming Kingdom
https://patreon.com/sharmishthabasu

Coming kingdom at present is sharing stories of upcoming books, right now it is sharing stories from the books to be published (republished) in Amazon Kindle. Every month it will share few stories.

Check out the stories and share your views!

SBPnB
https://patreon.com/sharmishthabasu

SBPnB is a book of illustrations mainly. As you can guess from the name the priority has been given to the illustrator inside me! I love to paint and this is the book through which I am sharing my paintings with you.

Sometimes you will get them with quotes, sometimes with poems or flash fictions. But whatever will be there the size of the words will be quite short, so that each post’s length is one page. Sometimes they may get longer but not necessarily!

There are more pledges, if I start getting patrons that will give more than $5 each month I will love to include them, right now I am waiting for a miracle that will give me 2 dozen $5 patrons 🙂 before 2021 is over. Be a part of that miracle!

Critique by SB

Agnishatdal Chaitra 1427, March 2021

By your good old editor! Few words about the works of my much cherished authors. So the critiques will be honest, short and sweet!

Bachhar ase- years come by Labanya- beautiful poem about life’s moving forward and our ways of dealing with it.

Surrender by Scott Hastie: Sometimes it is hard but surrendering to life is not a bad idea at all! Makes things much easier!

Of drum-rolls and Indians by saptarchi: Women certainly have succeeded in making everyone believe that only men harm women!

Fogline by Brieuc Martin Onraet 11: These stories really are amazing, Brian’s pen is full of wit and talent. I am so enjoying this story!

The faith mark by Raghunandan Kuppuswamy: Really enjoyed this story, it is fun to read. Well he certainly was blessed in abundance.

The coming of Magna by Troy David Loy: Troy’s science fiction stories are really amazing. I wish I could write such real science fictions.

I see it NOW… by Dom Collucci: Interesting poem. Life’s journey has so many twists, turns and colours!

Bitter Pill dose 40 by Bitter Pill: Press 3: It is sad how so many educated men and women forget their morals and duty towards humanity.

The warrior of light by Brendan: very beautiful and wise. If you know you are in right path everything else falls in place.

The year that never was by Pat Ritters 2: Another interesting piece about rural Australia. I did not know people eat Kangaroos! Human beings most probably eat everything!

I believe that will be it for my critique as an editor, you will have to read the rest in Ezine. Of course there is truckloads of more works there!

Critique by Labanya

Hi friends, let us begin!

Chaitra issue begins with another beautiful photograph from Golconda fort, the tribute this month has been paid to Queen Durgawati, she was quite a brave lady and great administrator.

Surrender by Scott Hastie: Beautiful.

Of drum-rolls and Indians by saptarchi: Very true words. When women [and men] blame that all evil against women are done by men they simply don’t admit the massive damages done by women!

Fogline by Brieuc Martin Onraet 11: Another fascinating piece. Really love his way of writing! His characters are so much fun!

The faith mark by Raghunandan Kuppuswamy: good one! Well, he certainly got a nice reward for being religious.

The coming of Magna by Troy David Loy: Will love to know a bit more about Mirus, he sounds like an interesting character..

Drowning in a tear… by Dom Collucci: Beautifully said.

Bitter Pill dose 40 by Bitter Pill: Press 3: Press these days is not news, it is lie and conning.

The warrior of light by Brendan: very beautiful and wise.

The year that never was by Pat Ritters 2: Interesting and well-written piece, I did not knew people eat kangaroos!

Treats:

Wish you all a happy holi, lovely greeting Sharmishtha!

5 lovely shots- loved the sun photos most.

This month Linkedin Requests are worth checking out if you are a writer or artist.

The year that never was by Pat Ritter: It certainly is a good story, or so it seems from the first two reads!

Pikatron by Troy David Loy sounds like a great reading material with fractals as added beauty!

Agnishatdal book 14, Saptarchi, I like Saptarchi’s writings.

Star of the Month Ustad Amanat Ali khan- Never heard his name before, will check out his songs ASAP in YouTube.

Star of West Geoffrey Rush: He is a really good actor. Have watched him in pirates of the Caribbean, the movies would not have been the same without him.

Star of east Guru Dutt- He was amazing!

Youtubia-Kahil Sultanpuri- Will check him out.

Minutes Together: Thor and Utgard was an interesting read. I have not read many Norse mythology stories. Actually have started hearing the names of their deities after watching Avengers.

Loved the Bengali poem and the hindi poem both. Thank you for adding my work Bachhar ase in your ezine Agni.

Parashar- It is a sad story. Vishamitra was a really wicked sage. Far worse than Durbasa, notorious for his rage.

TnW- Word editor ways- word editor stinks!

Scaredy Stick- covid-19 has shown both sides of society, the worst and the best.

The sketches all through the ezine were pretty, very colourful and lovely.

That is it I guess! See you again next month, and thank you Agni/Sharmishtha for translating my works!

Yours sincerely,
Labanya
