Why We Are Best Friends

I was extremely happy to find one of my favorite books, Dancer by Colum McCann, at a Goodwill. I was even more excited to find this list folded within the pages. The author only made it to #28, but nonetheless I thought the listed reasons, like "your hugs and squezzes," "warm vibe," and "endless eyes," were very sweet.

Bertha and Mom

Found this old school small square black and white photo of "Bertha and Mom" (so it states on the back) while walking to work the other day at the corner of S. Charles St. and Ostend St. in Federal Hill, Baltimore. It was in the gutter and had been driven over numerous times, but when I saw it I instantly knew it was my first find.

Dearest 01

I was away for the summer while my roommates stayed in the apartment because they were taking summer classes and/or were working. Apparently this love letter was typed up, sealed in an envelope, and left at my room's outside door. Now, I am 99.999% sure it wasn't intended for me. Besides that, there was a quirky feature of this letter: there were two copies of this letter, both in separate identical envelopes.

I found this inside the cover of a book that I bought in a thrift store. The book was titled "Mysteries of the Mind."

The Mature Note

I found this mystery note behind my screen door the day after I returned from vacation. I'm still looking out for the note that evidently prompted this one.
