Hi Chris... how are you doing?? Thank you so much for your lovely message and question ;)
The truth is that my series characters' often 'visit' other series (so for example, since you've read the 'Dangerous Curves' books, you'll see King show up in a few 'Unseen Enemy' books). In terms of reading order for the books, I think it's far better to just start with a series and read that, then move on to another whole series.
If I had to suggest a timeline though, and based on which books you have in your TBR pile, I'd say that you should consider following up the 'Dangerous Curves' books with the 'Unseen Enemy' series and then 'The Road Devils' since those three series really overlap the most. 'Fighting For Love' isn't quite stand-alone, though you'd see more 'Open Skies' characters appear and a few 'Unseen Enemy' folk. One notable book is 'Open LIfe' (Book 5 of the 'Open Skies' series) where the main story is between Maria (half-sister to Gabi from the 'Dangerous Curves' series) and Dillon (boouncer at the Dangerous Curves bar). That's a really strong cross-over book, and one which 'finishes off' the Dangerous Cuves people since Dillon appears there quite a bit.
I'm sorry - that was all a bit convoluted! It happens when you have characters who wander in and out of their own series and go hang out with a whole different group of people in a totally different bunch of books ;) Did this help at all?
Take care and thank you again.

Hi, and thank you so much for your question!
Actually, King is a character 'on loan' from another series of mine. He's a major character in the 'Dangerous Curves' series (Book 2 is 'his' book), and he's much, much more active and present in 'Dangerous Curves' on the whole. You get to know him very well, so if he intrigues you – and let's face it, the man is a mystery in some ways – maybe try my other series??
Thank you again, and I'm thrilled that you liked the 'Unseen Enemy' books ;)

Czesz, Duzz! Jak sie masz, kochanie? ;)
I'm not the slightest bit surprised that you found Polish hints in my books (and there are many to find), because until quite recently, I lived in Warsaw, Poland, and my husband is Polish.
As for Jaruzelski: I know well the controversial history of the man most famously associated with that name, but a good friend of mine in Warsaw has the same last name (no relation, though), and I promised her that I'd use it in one of my books for a good character, even just to make it have a more 'positive' association. I know that non-Poles will not know the name, but I'd like to think that they like the police officer who helped Tammy ;)
I go back to Warsaw quite often, so maybe the next time I'm there, we can meet up for a coffee??
Thanks for your question - and enjoy the other Polish 'moments' in my books (especially with Jenny, who is half-Polish!).

Yep, you're right it's controversial history. He died two years ago so it's also fresh.
What happens is still fresh in people's minds. You have a great idea to turn his surname in a good positive way. Thanks for that.
I read your book with Jenny some time ago. At the time I thought it was coincidence that she had restaurant and she cooked polish food but when I saw surname Jaruzelski I thought you maybe have some Polish descent. ;)
Really? I'm in :D I would be happy to meet you. :D

Hello, Sonya. Thank you so much for your question, and I apologize for the delay in my response. Your e-mail from GR went to spam, and it took me a few days to notice it sitting there ;)
Anyway! I'm thrilled that you've read the first two books of my Nakasee Lake contemporary lit trilogy. The sad truth, however, is that you're one of the very few people who have... I love those books, and I am so damn proud of them – and they just don't sell. My romance books sell very well, though, and so that's where I've decided to put my focus over the next few months.
Now, I'm not saying that 'Thunderbirds' (Book 3 of the Nakasee Lake trilogy) will NEVER be published. I'm working on it a bit at a time, and it will be finished in about a year, I guess.
I'm sorry to ask you to wait that long... do you read my romance books as well? Or is romance not your interest?
Thanks so much for your question!

Hi Shirley! Thanks so much for your question, and for being willing to give a new author a shot ;)
Well, hmmm. My series are a bit unusual, I suppose, in that the characters from one series have been known to wander in and out of other series on occasion. Soooo... I guess I'd suggest starting with the 'Unseen Enemy' series, and if you enjoy it, then moving on to the 'Dangerous Curves' series. DC is a spin-off of UE, and several characters move between these two series quite freely.
I hope you'll like meeting the'Unseen Enemy' crew. Thanks again for your question, and happy reading!

Hi Stephanie.
Thanks for your question! I really wish that I could answer but I'm afraid that the scenes that you've described aren't any that I've ever written... my book 'Enemy Outside' DOES have an Olivia, but she's never auditioned for a princess movie, and her mother never wrote a letter while Olivia was in her crib.
I'm sorry I can't help ;)

Hi Bev.
Thanks for your question!
The short answer is 'yes, one more.' The long answer is (not surprisingly) slightly more complicated. I wrote a blog post about this just yesterday, so I hope you don't mind if I send you over there??
Here's the post: https://marysoljames.wordpress.com/20...
I hope you like what I have to say about the next book, called 'Open Life'.

Just one best thing? OK ;)
I get to create whole new worlds and when people read my books, they follow me in to these worlds. If that's not a kind of magic, then I don't know what it is.

Hi Jaden! Thanks for your question.
Indeed, these are issues that interest me very much, and yes, indeed, I'll be exploring more issues in future books. They don't necessarily have to be 'buzz' issues or social problems, though.
For example, in the next book in the Fighting For Love series, called Fighting Back, I'll explore something that many couples have to work through after one person has been hurt or injured.
I won't say too much more, but I have already received a few e-mails from women whose husbands/ boyfriends have returned from the Middle East and who are now working through this as a couple. It's hard, and it requires a strong, trusting relationship to get through it, together.

The first book of a new series, both called DANGEROUS CURVES. It will be out this month, and I'll be announcing the official publication date soon.
