Cheryl K. McGonigle Make sure you love your story and your characters first before you expect others to love them. That way, regardless of where your writing goes, you have a product that you are proud of and a work that you love.
Cheryl K. McGonigle I don't really know how to answer this. I have never tried to write when I didn't feel inspired to do so. I think if I wanted to write and was feeling blocked I would try setting aside that project and writing something else for awhile. Maybe even just journaling about how I was feeling. If that didn't work, I don't know what I would do next. Would love to know how others deal with this issue.
Cheryl K. McGonigle I am finishing the illustrations for a children's picture book. I am also working on a novel.

Cheryl K. McGonigle My niece was telling me about her daughter, who believed in mermaids, and had been teased at school. She came home from school one day and said she wanted to start a mythical creatures support group. I found it so funny but it also touched my heart. I wrote Collecting Seashells for her.
