Carrie Fulk Vaughn That’s a hard one. I think I might go to the world of GRR Martin and join the faceless men. Arya never finished her training and I'm honestly curious.
Carrie Fulk Vaughn I just came back from Marcon and they stuffed my bag full of swag. Mostly books. And I haven't even looked at the titles yet. A friend also gifted me a book of her favorite author and I haven't read it yet. And I have a new Mary Higgins Clark book I haven't read... and I still haven't read The Vampire Lestat and I got that last year.
Carrie Fulk Vaughn I don't think I have mysteries in my life. Maybe my fainting spells could be a form of Astral Projection or something.
Carrie Fulk Vaughn So are we talking actual couple or a couple I've fangirled into head canon? My favorite established canon couple? I can't really come up with. But my fangirled OTP is Rude and Reno from FF7. Totally not canon. Rude is straight according to canon. But they will always be a thing in my head.
Carrie Fulk Vaughn Instead of letting myself worry and stress and amp up on anxiety, I throw myself into my story. It's an emotional pressure valve. Instead of worry about my own issues or problems, I story-tell. It doesn't always work to alleviate the anxiety, but it's done well for me so far.
Carrie Fulk Vaughn I've been germinating the world for probably fifteen years at this point. I tried to start the series with later characters, but I was suddenly filled with the urge to write one of the background characters in her own series first. Then I will roll into the rest of the story later.
Carrie Fulk Vaughn Some of my story ideas come from dreams. Some of them come from news articles. A lot of them are "what if"s. Submission calls are great for giving you prompts to write from. You can always spin off a book from a short story. That's given me two books in my "to be written" list.
Carrie Fulk Vaughn Stop making excuses. Make time to write. If you need community support to write, join your local NaNoWriMo group or a writer's group. Show up to write-ins. When things get hard, complain about it on Twitter. Most of us will respond because we're complaining, too.
Carrie Fulk Vaughn Go do something else. If things are blocked, it's probably because I'm burnt out. I read, watch a movie, go take a shower... and I'm always on Twitter.
Carrie Fulk Vaughn I am currently working on an urban fantasy young adult novel. I've been working on it for around a year now and the storyline has been evolving and changing so much I've almost written two books from the subject matter.
